I have purchased a 7 Kg Digital Washing Machine. My machine had a breakdown, after registering the complaint and even on completion of the almost 36 hrs after the ticket registration no one had attended the call from service side. After contacting the Regional Area Manager and higher officials of the company i could have someone attending the call. When checked by the service engineer he claimed that the wiring harness and concerned wiring broken by the rat. It is quite posible that some how and from some where the rat had entered the machine body from the lower end of the machine which does not have any Rat MESH to prevent the entry of the Rats and other such creatures. Which might cause damage to the machine body. However the company technician and the managers say the concerned repairing needs to be done at my own cost. When after paying almost Thirty Thousand Rupees for the purchase of the said machine it is responsibility of the company to provide a Metal Rat Mesh to protect the inner body and electrical parts of the machine. But herein this case the company straight away raised its hands saying that i need to bare for the damages. It is the responsibility of the company to provide necessary accessories to protect the machine as if a customer pays a sum of several thousand rupees to purchase a machine he can happly pay a few more rupees and purchase such reqired items. However the company is in such a position that they themselves dont have such protective accessories and expect customers to sheel out extra amounts for the repairing caused becasue of its incapabilities.
