I purchased a SAMSUNG Split AC from CHANDRA TRADERS, Velachery, Chennai-42 on 10th May 2009. On purchase, the salesman at Chandra Traders promised me that he will have the mechanic fix the AC in next day morning by 9:00 AM, but it didn't happened. The Mechanic came on 12th May only and fixed the AC.
Since there was no electrical plug for AC in the room, they asked me to get the plug point fixed by the electrician. Once the plug was ready, the AC Mechanic just switched on the remote and left. When i had asked about the demo, he said that some other person will come for demo (actually he got a phone call while he was fixing the AC that is why he wanted to rush). Not even 1.5 meters of copper tube have been used for connection and he took the balance (approx. 3.5 meters) with him, it would cost around Rs.2000.
Since nobody came for demo for few days, i logged a call and an engineer from Samsung came on 16th May and he said there is no problem with AC and voltage coming in is not enough. He was also not interested in giving a demo and he asked me to give him a call after 20 days to explain how to clean the filter. He said the mechanic who fixed the AC is not from Samsung, they are from the dealer Chandra Traders. I dont understand how Samsung allows the dealer to fix the AC. Have they be trained properly on the system?
I am not getting proper response from both SAMSUNG and the dealer for the copper tubes which the mechanic has looted. I went to Chandra Traders 3 times and every time they are saying they will check with the mechanic and get back to me, but nothing happened. I would want to go to next step to get back the Copper Tubes and compensation.
