Subject: COMPLAINT - LCD 32"
I had purchased a Panasonic LCD TV 32”, Model No. TH-L32C8D, Serial No. 18376 on 27/01/2010 from ‘Vidya Electronics, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi (Ph. Nos. 25376857, 65173395)’ vide Cash Memo No. 026/2505. The product is under Certificate of Warranty, valid for one year.
Suddenly one day in July, 2010 the display on almost 90% of screen of the said LCD become blank and scratched.
On my complaint, through the dealer (Vidya Electronics), a service engineer from the authorized service centre of Panasonic , namely ‘I Care, J-8/77M, Nehru Market, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi- 110027 (Ph. Nos. 45608723, 45668723)’ visited to my place and after inspection, informed my family members, verbally, that the Display Panel of the LCD has been broken and needs replacement and it is not covered under warranty. He has quoted the cost of Panel to be replaced around Rs. 17,000/-, to be paid by me. Subsequently, I contacted to the Head of the said Service Centre - Mr. Tijender (Mob. No. 9811017100), to provide me a report, in writing, containing the full detail of the real facts that the Panel has no sign of any scratch & is fully intact from outside and has been broken from inside, along with the reason of it being not coming under warranty, but no report was provided to me.
Subsequently I lodged a complaint directly to the Panasonic’s Universal Access No. 1860 425 1860 on 05/09/2010 vide Complaint No. 003128. I have not got any response from there. On my inquiry on the same telephone no. , I got the reply that the complaint was forwarded by the Panasonic to the same Authorized Service Centre (I Care), who, in return, forwarded the reply to the Panasonic (without visiting to my place) that the customer refused to pay. On my grievance, I was directed to talk to the Regional Service Incharge of Panasonic - Mr. Vinod Sharma (Mob. No. 9717441553).
On 15/09/2010 I approached the said Mr. Vinod Sharma, who assured me that he will take care of the matter, but I have got no response from his side. On my repeated requests, he deputed a Service Engineer of the same Authorized Service Centre (I Care) to take photographs of my LCD. The Service Engineer visited my place and taken the desired photographs. I don’t know what he has done of that photographs, since I did not get any response from there side. On my repeated calls to said Mr. Vinod Sharma, I got the verbal reply that the matter was discussed with the Panasonic Co. and the Panel will not be replaced under warranty. I requested the said Mr. Vinod Sharma to kindly forward me the copy of the communication held with the Company along with the copy of the photographs taken by them, to enable me to decide further course of action, but till now I have not got any response.
In the circumstances, I request you to kindly got my LCD repaired at the earliest.[/SIZE][/LEFT]
