    Angry Complaint regarding payment to Airtel Digital TV

    Hi,
    This is regarding a complain against Digital TV for not crediting my money into my account.
    On 22nd July 2010 at around 8:00 PM, I had ordered for up gradation from my normal Airtel setup box to a HD setup box. I spoke with a customer care executive and paid Rs 2265 by my credit card through IVR.

    Registered Telephone number : 9600012348
    Transaction Id : 9926229

    The executive had given me the Transaction ID by his personal mobile phone (9920586086). He clearly verified all of my details which he could see on the screen.
    Now the problem is, that money has not been credited to my account and I got a call from the backend team after 3 days and they tell me that the transaction ID is wrong. Now I have received the HD setup box but my account is not being activated for the fact that Airtel has not received my payment.
    I have also received the payment details in my unbilled credit card account. Now, where did this money go?

    Hello,


    As you mentioned that you have already registered your complaint with the Airtel DTH customer care but still not get any response, so we suggest you to send a written notice to the Nodal Officer via email or registered post, mention all the details in it and ask them to activate the services with in the mentioned time in the notice, wait for their response and revert us back.


    Note: Keep all the copy of Complaint, Notice and the registered post slip, this may help you if you need to knock the consumer forum.

    Hello Airtel,

    My customer ID is 3001326001. I had booked an Airtel DigitalTV applying thru online last year on Aug 19, 2009. In response to my query on the internet, I got a call from your marketing person Ranjith from Delhi. He offered me a cash back offer of 15% for 1-year subscription as I applied thru Airtel online website. Believing him I went ahead and booked it on the same day. When I was making the payment I asked him regarding cash back, he told me I would be getting it when I recharge my account, that is after 1 year and he would make necessary arrangements for that. Later, when when the setup box was installed, I did call to confirmation once again and he continued to say the same thing that after 1 year when I recharge I would be entitled for 15% cash back.

    Now, I have completed 1 year and when I call him to confirm regarding the offer, he tries to confuse me by saying different things each time. He says he did not make any such offer, then he says he has already given me some other offer of Goa package in lieu of that, but I have neither opted nor received any such package so far.

    When I called the customer care, they asked me to mail, but its been almost a week now and even after several mails, I have not got a single response and even when I call customer care they say they had that offer, but it is not present now. In that case I should have got the cash back right when I made the payment. I feel I am misguided and cheated by the Airtel marketing personnel.

    I am thinking that they are delaying to reply because they are trying to manipulate the offer in such a way that I will not be eligible for any offers and give up claiming for offers.

    Its simply a waste of time dealing with Airtel customer care and NEVER BELIEVE AIRTEL MARKETING OFFERS.

    Default Airtel DigitalTV Wrong commitment from marketing personnel

    Hello,

    I just got a call from the back end saying one simple sentence that "I would not be eligible for any offer" (as expected). When I asked why, he hung up the phone, not even bothering to give any kind of justification or may be he was too busy. I am just wondering if I should believe Airtel anymore!
