    Default Panasonic Digital Cordless Phone (Refused Service Under Warranty)

    Respected Sir,

    I had purchased two Panasonic KX-TG3521BX Digital Cordless phones from TIME CENTRE, 81, Khanna Market, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003. ( Tel. No. 24634891)

    One of the Phone was recently automatically burned inside regarding of some short circuit inside the phone. When i went to the shop keeper ( Time Centrer) he refused to look at it and guided us to go to the Panasonic Customer Care.

    Finally we find a Customer care and service center of Panasonic in South Externsion when i went there they refused to repair or change the phone. They are asking Rs.1500/- to repair that phone which is under WARRANTY.

    The serial Number of the Phone is 8fbtb024301 ( STILL UNDER WARRANTY). Warranty detail no. 8E 455774

    We have the guarantee card and bill and everything with us.

    I want to know that what is the meaning of warranty if they are asking money to repair the phone when it is under warranty.

    I trusted on Panasonic there are many cordless phones are available in the market in less rates but i trusted on Panasonic but there is no satisfy in their service.

    I want to repaired or replaced my phone.

    Default Unresponsiblity of panasonic

    Dear Sir,





    Your insinuation about the voltage surge does not carry any conviction. In our Office we have two Panasonic Phones connected through the Computer UPS Supply. In this context, majority of the users of this type of Phones would have inverter cum UPS in their homes also, due to frequent power supply cuts in Delhi.



    Voltage fluctuations in Delhi are not un-common. Therefore going by your logic, majority of the Panasonic Digital Cordless sets should have blown up and burned up now. Which is not the case.



    It may kindly be noted that the particular handset which got burnt, apparently had a manufacturing defect which caused the circuit inside the handset to burn.



    It may further be noted that despite the UPS, incase such a monstrous voltage fluctuation had taken place, then the plug and/or base of the phone should have burnt and not the handset itself.



    In view of the above, you may kindly have the handset repaired/replaced free of cost.

    We have checked status for your telephone set with our authorized service center and found your tel set was badly burnt .
    Pls be informed in warranty we covers all natural failures happens time to time, but failures happen because of high voltage ,surge are never covered in warranty .
    For this particular case you need to pay the said amount because condition of PCB clearly indicates that failure happened because of high voltage/surge.
    In case of further clariifcation pls feel free to contact us at your convenience.
