    Default Godrej Refrigerator complaint - Leaking of complaint information to outsiders

    Hi,

    My name is Swapna G. On May 12th 2009, our Godrej refrigerator stopped cooling. I booked a complaint(number 856474) with the Godrej customer care regarding this. When they mentioned that for any visit, the person will charge 300/-, I asked not to send anyone to my house that day. I will enquire with my parents and then will again book a complaint and let you know when to visit my home.

    On May 13th, I called them again and booked a new complaint(number 856792). They said the person will come on May 14th. As told by the the customer care, one person visited my home on May 14th saying that he is from Godrej.

    Since, we were expecting the person that day, my mother and brother(who were at home during that time) did not ask for the identity card to verify. Then, he changed few things and said that it will cost 4000/- to change the defect part of the refrigerator. We payed him and then he said he will take our guarantee card and return the next day. He did not even give us the bill as he said bill also will be given the next day. He asked us to wait for 3 hrs for fridge to start cooling again. He left our house.

    Even after 6 hrs, the fridge was not cooling. When we contacted Maria Refrigeration(the authorised GODREJ service provider for our area) about this, they said no one from their side has visited my house.

    I agree that there has been many mistakes at our side for not
    1. checking his ID card.
    2. Not asking for a bill.
    3. Giving away the warranty card.

    But, we are 1000% sure that this information that our fridge has a complaint and we were expecting a person on May 14th to repair the same has been leaked out either from the GODREJ call centre at Mumbai or from the GODREJ Serivce Centres which were asked to service our problem.

    This is a serious issue of CUSTOMER DATA MISUSE.

    That day, by luck, my brother was at home. If my mother was alone, I could not imagine what would have happened to her from this unknown person.

    We lodged a police complaint also and I visited the police station 4 times. We also gave that person's mobile number. That mobile number is switched off now. But they are not showing any interest in this case. I believe they are expecting bribe from our side which I am not going to give.

    Even though I want to report this to the Police commissioner, my parents are scared of police visiting our house. I am helpless in this. Please help us. Daily I am in pain not for the amount lost but I feel guilty of myself for not able to catch that person. If the same happens to some other family, I will also be responsible.

    Please help us... The case is very clear even then police is not willing to help. I talked to the senior GODREJ officials also, but they deny any CUSTOMER DATA/INFORMATION leakage from their side.

    If you can help us in any way, it would be a help towards the society. My brother can identify that person and daily whenever we travel we are looking out for that person.

    Default We complaint more times no response

    Hello sir,

    I am from Pondicherry. We were complaint before one month for cooling problem. The people come from your service center, they saw the problem then we payed 2500 and something. Next day the Refegirator not working properly again we were complaint through the service man mobile no they come saw the problem then they told that about gas leakage and He told that he would come next day but till now they didnt come 3 weak passed. We suffered lot for it. We made lot of calls daily but they attend the call and told that will come next day but no response. Yesterday also I complaint customer care center in the name of Anaf Louis and mobile Number:9944070343. Please consider my complaint and Do your best. Please clear our problem.

    Angry poor service from godrej

    godrej service is very poor i bought the refrigerator gde 23 dx4 one month back from the day beginning itself it creating a problem water dripping inside the refrigerator and gasket leakage atmosphere air going inside the refrigerator and drain pan not evaporating weekly twice we are cleaning the drain pan
    i complaint from the day beginning itself first one technician came and he says no problem in refrigerator he adjusted the thermostat to low after that also the problem not solved again i compliant another technician came and he adjusted the thermostat to high but the problem not solved now i complained 10 days before no one came till now daily am calling the call center18002095511 there is no proper response. any one can help what can i do, i need my money back i am so frustration with godrej service how can i solve this problem can i go to consumer court what is the procedure for that please give me some suggestions.
