Respected Sir/Madam,
I bought the APC Inverter HI800SQ from StedVolt Engineers Pvt Ltd GiriNagar. It worked on well for 2 years. Soon after 2.0 Yrs while cleaning the House Hold items, my Parents interchanged the Power Supply Connections of the Inverter (since I was out of station for a while), this made our UPS to go bad and it stopped working, then my parents called the APC Customer Care and lodged a complaint, the APC Service Person Mr Ravi P.L (Stedvolt engineer) came to service our Inverter system, since there was no AMC Plan (Annual Maintenance Plan) and my parents being so elderly and dearly trusted him then he took that as an advantage and came up with the first report stating the Entire Board has been burnt out, this needs an Entire Board Replacement. Now comes the trick, he replaced a few components on the same board and charged Rs 2350 for the replacement of the entire board and Mr Ravi (APC Service Person) was so Proffessional Cheater that he was able to convince my Parents and did not provide them the bill/reciept for the recieved amount.
Even though after the service, the Inverter was not in a working condition, and Mr Ravi suggested my parents to replace the Battery as it is not working and on a pretext of making few more money, He suggested them to buy the Battery from him for Rs 7500. Now my Parents were able to clue his ideas, they bought the same Exide battery from the dealer for Rs 5200, for which Mr Ravi shown his anger towards us. But after placing the New Battery, the Inverter system failed to function, as Mr Ravi P.L has not done the required service. Now when called Mr Ravi, he had a different story to tell saying that the Battery is wrongly connected because of which the components have gone bad but this time he did not suggest for the replacement of the board but he replaced a few components for which his charges were Rs 850 but when insisted on Bill he never turned up.
After two months of this service once again the Inverter started to malfunction, when lodged a complaint with APC which was answered by Mr Ravi PL with a beautifull answer saying the voltage fluctuation and 6 MOSFets would have been damaged by saying so he charged us Rs 1350. This time being fed up of his day light robbery and threatening calls I gave Rs 1350 and not able to bear his torture kept the whole system in his place.
My Questions:
1. APC being such a reputed company, how can they seek Mr Ravi PL as a service provider who is good in duping/cheating/misleading/fraudelent the people for a small fortune
2. If the service meant by Ravi is just to replace the boards with a new one, incase of any components damage then why was that not done for the second and third time
3. Inspite of repeated complaints to APC over Phone, No action has been taken on him and APC people would always support his fraud or daylight robbery
4. Being an Brand Ambassador of APC, why did he not provide the Bills/reciept for the service
5. The way the APC treats it customer, it really sucks and the APC Authorizes the service person to conduct all these fraudulent activities
Suggestions:
1. Avoid buying APC products, as there service persons are ONLY FRAUDS
2. If any one has encountered the same experience, please let me know, so that we can register a complaint against the APC as well the StedVolt
3. Please Insist on Bills, so that they may be honest, not completely but to some extent
Can I lodge a Police Complaint against this person.
