I am from Tenali (Guntur Dist, Andhra Pradesh). Recently I happened to visit Sub Registar Office in Tenali to get EC (Encumbrance Certificate) for my property (plot). I am so much suprised the corruption in SRO office Tenali. The forms to apply EC are not available in SRO office, instead they are directing me to approach the broker(S) out side [so called document writers]. I have purchased the form for RS 20 and I approched the counter in SRO office with filled form and they asked me RS 140. But I asked then why to pay RS 140 as the goverment fee is Rs 25. They replied me very harshly saying the total fee is Rs 140 " Do you want EC or not?".This is how it works in Tenali SRO office. Every one knows about it.
I am so disappointed how the corruption is institutionalized in India. No one can do any thing about it?
