Default Indian Railways i-ticket - non refund of cancelled ticket

I had booked an i-ticket on 11.04.2007 (journey date 29.04.2007, PNR 8432899908, Train 2957 SWARNA J RAJDHANI EXPRESS, Station Abu Road to New Delhi, Transaction ID 0018045938)

Since the ticket was waitlisted and could not be confirmed till the printing of charts, hence i was unable to travel on waitlist ticket in rajdhani train, so i went to Abu Road Rly station in the late hours on 29.04.2007 but before the train time. The booking clerk cancelled the ticket and gave me Ticket Deposit Receipt (no. B016787 dt. 29.04.2007) and a copy of which is held with me. The original was sent to Indian Railways and a copy was also as a followup given to IRCTC office at Sansad Marg, New Delhi. Being i-ticket cash refund was not permitted and same is mentioned on the Ticket Deposit Receipt

despite requests, reminders, complaints the said ticket has not been refunded till date i.e. about two years

    Hello,

You have a strong reason to file a case against Railway, the below mentioned judgment will help you.

Unused ticket returned but no amount refunded--Deficiency proved

    Sir,
I am a resident of Darjeeling.
Toady, dated 05th of January 2010, I had been to the railway station to book 2 tickets from Yeshwantpur to Howrah for me and my father.
As my father is a senior citizen and a kidney patient, I asked for the recession which I was to get on him being a kidney patient,
but I was denied my right.
I told him about the law and also shown him the fully signed and stamped certificate which I had received from my father's hospital.

I would like to get some help and advise from you in this regards.

Hope to hear from you soon.
