This is my first post. Recently I had very bad experience fron irctc(indian railway catering and tourism comporation). I had booked e-ticket in 2nd AC, from Bilaspur to Rourkela in south bihar exp (3287); date-10-02-10. On the journey date, the train was late by four hours and I had to urgently reach rourkela on time. Hence I took general ticket and boarded another train (train no 8478) which came before my train. After reaching my destination, I filed TDR (process to get refund) on irctc website for the refund of my e-ticket. As per railway rule, I am supposed to get full refund, as the train was late by more than three hours and no journey was done on the ticket. But to my surprise, the irctc has declined my refund application, saying that I travelled on my e-ticket in the train 3287. So please somebody suggest me, what to do?
