When the train arrived I did not find my name on chart. On contacting the customer care, I was told that the coach for First AC was not attached in the train and so my status was changed from confirm to waitlisted. He asked me to write a mail to IRCTC to get the refund. I boarded the same train, paid fine (ticket charges +Rs. 365) for travelling without ticket and traveled in First AC (which was actually attached unlike claimed by the customer care).
I want to file a complaint against IRCTC with the following questions:
1. Why my confirmed ticket for First AC was converted to waitlisted within 36 hrs of booking the ticket when there was a coach attached for First AC.
2. Since I had a confirmed ticket, IRCTC could have accomodated me in a 2A or 3A berths instead of making my ticket waitlisted.
3. Money for waitlisted tickets automatically gets refunded automatically. But in my case money has not yet refunded to my account, I had to file a TDR for that and waiting for the refund.
Please help.
