    Unhappy credit card bills' payment

    hi!

    i want to say here that i hd got 2 icici bank credit cards 1.5 yrs back. all was going well till i lost my job in feb this year. after which i couldnt pay the bill. recently i got legal notices frm ibank cc dertment that i dn pay the bills as soon as possible they'll take some strict legal actions against me. my point here is that if i dint pay the bills it wasnt intentional nor was i trying to commit a fraud, it was just some circumstances that made me do so.

    i just want to ask here whether i can request to the bank to provide me some more time or not. if yes, how n whom i can approach for that n if not what i can do.

    Hi Vipin,

    In your case I can suggest a very good solution.
    You can request Icici bank to convert your CC to EMI card in which your CC becomes useless and you cannot use that card for further transactions...
    An EMI card will be issued to you. That will be a virtual card with the 16 digit card no as a normal card.

    But the trouble you are facing will be solved.
    They will fix a monthly EMI to pay from your side for certain months. EMI and the time periods will be of your choice.
    What you have to do is just pay that amount per month on time without failing otherwise you will be asked to pay the whole amount in one go.

    This option will save you from your default ranking in CIBIL...

    Angry Theft on ICICI credit card and irresponsible responses of ICICI bank

    Hi,

    This is regarding a theft of my ICICI credit card 5176 5338 6773 0001.

    I have opened my ICICI account in Pune and later moved to USA. I never used my
    credit card after coming to USA. My credit card was stolen on June 21st in San Francisco.
    Someone has broken into our car and stole my bag which has the credit card in it.
    All the transactions were made within an hour, which is a clear indication of a likely fraud.
    By the time I blocked the card it was too late and some international transactions over
    65,000 were made when the credit limit is only 63,000. Also there is no direct number
    to reach the domestic customer care from US to immediately block the card.
    I have reported the ICICI bank regarding the theft and the COMPLAINT Number is SR107108663. I filed a police complaint with San Francisco police dept and the case number is 090-532-665.

    When I called ICICI customer care they have replied that the case has been submitted to dispute department and it will take 45 days to investigate. I have been following up with the customer care since then, giving my contact information as I was not able to update my contacts through internet banking. I have waited for more than 45 days for them to get back, but received no communication on my email or phone number given to them. After 45 days when I called the customer care they said that they have sent a letter mentioning that dispute has been released in bank Favour to my address which is of Pune even after repeatedly telling them that I was not in India and gave my USA address and phone number.

    They have auto debited 3,540 as minimum amout due from my account without informing me.When I called the customer care to ask about this they gave harsh reply. When I enquired about the theft they said that I have to pay the total amount. Then I asked them to connect to any higher officials but they said that it is not possible and I have to be present in India to carry out the further investigation. Now, the total amount due is
    Rs. 93452.79.

    Whenever I make any transactions through my card I used to repay in time (Never it was due).I lost my job and I am in USA as a dependent and it is next to impossible for me to pay such an amount.II cannot even come to India for settling this. Is there anyway where I can get justice? Please suggest me what should be done.

    Default Theft on ICICI credit card and irresponsible responses of ICICI bank

    This is regarding the above issue of my credit card theft in San Francisco.

    The total amount due on the day my credit card was stolen was Rs. 71,801.81and the total amount due as of now is Rs. 93,452.79.
    The total amount due and charges has been growing and growing and becoming a very huge amount.
    Is there any way where the ICICI bank can stop the charges until the dispute is resolved?
    Or how can I stop these huge charges being levied on me unnecessarily?

    The ICICI customer care has contacted me through email and again asking me to be present in India to resolve the dispute.
    Unfortunately, I am in USA now and cannot go to India for this purpose as the airfare only costs more than $2000 (Rs. 92800)
    which is equivalent to total amount due in my credit card. So, I have been assuring the customer care that I can be available on
    my phone at anytime and can send any information they want through mail / fax / email. But still the bank wants me to be present to carry on the investigation.

    And I still dont get how the investigation proves the case in the favour of the bank, when there is a clear indication of fraud
    where all the transactions were done on the same day within an hour in different stores exceeding the total limit.
    Now, I have to pay the total amount when I never used a single rupee of it and take all the mental stress and health problems due to this issue.
    Now, they are asking me to come to India to restart the investigation which is again impossible for me.
    Please suggest me what I should do or what they can do to solve this issue as soon as possible
    because the amount due on my credit card is growing huge each month and my mental stress is becoming more.
    Hoping for your help and suggestion in this issue.

    Default Payment in installment without interest

    Hi,
    I SANDIP C. THORAT use Credit Card no.5402320007169000 from last 3 yrs. During this period the transition done regularly along with the payment. But the payment for current three month is pending with me so I request to you give me the breakup or installment liberty for paying payment (14984.67/- ruppes) without interest.

    Credit Card No. 4477465237430005

    This is to inform the Bank that the above mentioned Credit Card No. which belongs to Mr. Pradeep M Yelve has wrongly been used on some other customers purchase.

    The last Amount balance shown was payable Rs. 3490/-, and till date no purchase has been done by me.

    But, recently the statement which I received states the amount due as Rs. 46,162.66. Also, to bring to your notice that, the statement that I have received does not belong to me, and on enquiring the said matter with your bank, it has been also noticed that the details have been forward time to time by your bank on Mobile no. 9769941839, which does not belong to me as well and gave harsh reply. When I enquired about the theft they said that I have to pay the total amount

    Please be noted that, such amount will not be paid by me as this is a theft done

    After being personally visited several time to your ICICI Bank at JB Nagar no action hv been taken till now, Now I surprised when I again received a continuous calls related to same outstanding dues against purchase which I have not done, They always threatened me to deposit the amount otherwise they will spoil my credit career,

    Hence, requesting you to kindly investigate on the same and rectify your records. I have already filed a complaint with the Mahim Police Station
