Subject : Seeking an explanation for the delay in collection of Foreign Currency Instruments.
Dear Sir,
I am Suman Chhabra, and am holding Account No : SB A/c No : 5023201 0029080, with your Bank. Sir, I had deposited with your Bank a total of 03 instruments with the following details,

Sir, it has nearing around 02 months, from the date of deposit, totaling to $ 8000.00 (Eight Thousand Only) at and the money is not reflecting in my account till date. May I, please request your kind-self to provide give to me the following details relating to Foreign Collections :
1. What is the Bank’s prescribed time duration for such deposits?
2. Have you already exceeded it ?
If, yes,
a. Was it deliberately done?
b. The reason for the delay?
c. Am I supposed to bear it?
i. the difference in the rate of conversion
and
ii. the interest my account could have accrued from the amount.
d. How would I be compensated for the delay?
e. How long is it likely to take?
3. Who would pay for the difference in the value?
Furthermore, Sir, may I also request you take it as utmost urgent and reply to me at the earliest, so as to prevent me from taking the matter further to “The Banking Ombudsman”.
