I have a salary account with Standard Chartered bank with a/c no 45610261526. I had issued a cheque (No 055704) for an amount of 2000 dated 25-Jan-2012.

Please find the things which has gone wrong from 2 banks below.

1)The person had presented this cheque from Syndicate bank for honor which was incorrect from Syndicate bank to accept and sent it for process before the cheque date.

2) SCB has returned the cheque stating Insuffiecient fund on 14-Jan-2012. where in they should have verified the cheque date and returned it back.

3) SCB has levied cheque bounce charges on my account

I wanted to know can bank accept post dated cheque and process? I know this should not be the process from banks. I am not even getting back the cheque bounce charges and my account is now showing bounce and it reflects a bad image.

This is completly wrong from the bank side and i want someone to help me on this.
