Recently I have taken a personal loan from HDFC Bank and have given ECS from SCB where my salary account is. Now my salary account is shifted and I want to change the ECS from another bank. But HDFC insists that I can only give the ECS from the bank where my salary gets credited. Is there any such rule, or can I give ECS from any of my accounts - as long as I repay promptly how does it matter which account I issue the ECS from?
