I am first time login to this forum and need advise on my case regarding AXIS Bank transaction

I am holding AXIS bank Travel card and tried to withdraw Singapore Dollar SGD 2000 from above said ATM on 1/Dec/2011 .After entering the pin number and Amount required ,ATM card came out ,but money not came out from the ATM and ATM was suddenly started displaying something like “ATM Out of service” ,but the amount SGD 2000 (USD1610.51) has been deducted from my AXIS Bank travel card .last 15 days i am chasing with AXIS bank for getting this sorted out ,but still i havent received the money and today they came back and said it may take maximum 80 days ....Can i ask for compensation and intereset in this case ,as i am struggling in overseas due to lack money as money is already blocked .pls advise
