I have received one call from Standard Charted Bank - Credit card department, saying that I have been selected as valuable customer from computerized system. First of all sales agent had discussed me and explained me all things, which I would get on purchase of one package.
In that I would get following things (as per sales agent):
1. One voucher of travel trip.
2. One card for discount on meals and dinner in local hotels.
3. Wallet + credit insurance up to 25,000/-
4. Medical health checkup voucher of Rs. 15,000/- for any family members from Appolo hospitals, valid in any center anywhere in India.

As per sales agent this whole package was worth of Rs. 50,000/-, for which I need to pay only 10% amount (i.e. 5000/-) in installment of Rs. 750/- around per month. It is because of promotional offer plus luckily I am selected from Standard Charted credit card computer system as valuable customer.

After that I have received confirmation call, in which I did not go in deep for all above options given in package as agent had told me that it is just for confirmation.
After 10 to 15 days I have received kit as per above package. But, the 4th option Health checkup voucher was of only of Rs. 400/- instead of 15,000/-

I have inquired in Appolo hospital about voucher that is it by mistake or is it valid for 15,000/- of any health check up?
I got replied that it not valid up to 15,000/- and it is valid in only one branch hospital situated at Maninagar, Ahmedabad. (i.e. not valid in all center of Appolo hospitals in Ahmedabad, Gujarat even). That Appolo center is 30 kilometer far away from my home, which is not inconvenient.

Then I have called minimum 15 times in Customer care center of Standard Charted Bank - Credit Card department, but I did not received any positive reply any single time. Again on 3rd or 4th October, 2011 I called for my complain regarding this issue, on this call agent had promised me that I will get 100% refund back and for that I need to send back the kit to their Bangalore branch. On 5-Oct-2011, I have send the kit to them by spending Rs. 100/- courier charges. Till 23-Nov-2011, I have not received any confirmation from their side. I have called Customer Care service again to know the status in between of that time duration, but same I did not received any proper reply. On 23-Nov-2011, I got confirmation call that 75% amount is refunded back and I need to pay rest of the 25% amount (i.e. Rs. 1250/-).

It is very strange, I have put trust two times on Standard Charted Bank - Credit card department customer care executives and it seems that they have cheated me both the time. Last Saturday (ie. 26-Nov-2011) I have called again and asked for proper solution. I have asked to raise complain, and asked to talk to floor manager. But not received proper response. Customer care executive told me that I may have received some incorrect information from last conversations, regarding 100% refund. Today morning I again received call from floor manager stating that "She is not in the position to give 100% refund back.", but she has accepted that their sales person might not explain package properly and customer care executive had not conveyed wrong information.

Since last 3 months I am getting tensed regarding this issue. (we may call it mental pressure) But, no solution after many request and many follow ups.
Now, situation is that I have to pay Rs. 1250/- without doing anything.

Please take positive steps in solution for this issue. It will be good to stop this kind of frauds in future for other customers from Standard Charted Bank - Credit card department.
