This is in reference to excessive charges on issuance of Demand Draft Charged by HDFC Bank.
I issued a request for Demand Draft for Rs 50 Lacs. The application form requires authorisation to debit the account for charges.

The charges are not pre advised and to my surprise they charged mr Rs 10,000 for issuance of Demand Draft !!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly my account is debited with 50 Lacs immediately upon issuance of Demand Draft that means Bank is making big Interest gain by taking my money much before the Draft is presented for payment, then why Bank should charge such a unfair amount just for issuance of DD?

I strongly lodge a complaint on such thefts by the Bank at the cost of consumers
