ICICI credit card fraud with I-MINT

    Angry ICICI credit card fraud with I-MINT

    I am using an ICICI Credit Card with the following details from 2005 onwards.
    Last January onwards, it was written in my monthly statement that the reward points are transferred to the IMINT account. Then I contacted the customer care and they gave me the IMINT account number and IMINT customer care number.
    I called the IMINT care many times in the last five months, every time they gave the reply “you will get the card within one month”. On April 10th again I called the IMINT customer care and they told that I will get the card within 1 week. But till today I didn’t got the IMINT card.
    I called ICICI customer care and received a response ” it is not their responsibility once the points are transferred to the IMINT card they can’t do anything .And told me to contact IMINT care”. Is this what ICICI Credit Card Customer Care supposed to do?
    I was using the same credit card from the last 4 years, and before introducing this IMINT I never had a problem in redeeming my reward points. And I never asked for such a card from icici credit card people.
    I filed a complaint with ICICI bank about the non availability of card and they did some investigation. However they have again send the mail saying , now it is in the I-MINT section so I have to contact I mint people.
    As I’m tired of calling the IMINT care, then I contacted ICICI credit Card section asked them “either to cancel the I-mint points, or transfer my old points back into my ICICI Credit Card account”. But ICICI customer care called me on 20th May and make a conference call with I-Mint section, the –Mint people again gave the assurance that “I will get the I-mint card within 10 working days”.
    I contacted the ICICI customer care again on 8th june and got the reply “We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and look forward to your co-operation in the interim. We do not have access to escalate any the case pertains to your I-mint account from our end. Hence, we would suggest you to wait for the stipulated time which is provided by the I-mint.”
    There are three issues

    1) ICICI Bank never informed or asked me before transferring the points to I-MINT.
    2) As I do not know the I-MINT people, it is ICICI’s responsibility to take action on it.
    3) Last 6 months I am being tortured saying “you will get I-mint card within 10 days/1 month and issuing wrong courier number/ wrong complaint number/ and wasting my time and money on phone calls”.
    Till date the mail are being routed through their loops & ICICIBANK says" It is I-MINT" you talk with them whereas I-MINT says you will get it this week \next week.
    Anyone WHO faced such problem pl help how to come out?

    Hello,

    Send a written notice to the ICICI CMD via registered post and ask them for the proper solution with in the mentioned time of 15-20 days. If they will not reply you with in the mentioned time then contact us again.

    i got imint card by courier but now wen went to redeem it they said that this card is not valid imint is a fraud card

    Default Request to help me in Credit card problem

    Dear Sir / Madam

    I am G.Venkatesan, working with Hyundai Motor India, Chennai. I am having my salary account with ICICI, Nanganallur branch. Based on the transactions, one representative came to my door step and offered me a “ EMI Debit Card “ which the banks offers only for Valuable costumers.
    My card number is : 4477 4652 2654 3008.

    I called the customer service representative and enquired about this card. They said I can use this card as my salary debit card and need to pay the amount in EMI [ like Rs.4000 / month ] . So I used it in the nearby ATM and withdrew money .

    Then I came to know in a week’s time that its not a debit card rather it’s a credit card wherein I should not withdraw money. So I went to the ICICI bank credit card division [ Mount road branch, near anand theatre ]. I met the manager and I told him what has happened and also told him that I don’t need that card any more and I would like to surrender this card immediately.

    As I am returning the card within 2 weeks, he asked me to pay the amount withdrawn [ Rs. 12, 000] in three installments. And also he suggested me to pay the last EMI for Rs. 4000 through cheque as a part of their bank’s procedure..
    I gave a written request also to him on that day.

    After 6 months, I received a call from the customer service agent saying that I ve pay more money even though I ve submitted the card back. I went to the manager again and inquired about the same. He said that somehow they have missed to update the data in their database and as they are moving to the new location [ From mount road to ambattur ], he said they ll update all cases and there after I will not receive any calls or e-mails.

    Subsequently, I didn’t receive calls and I came to know that my name has been black listed under CIBIL when I applied for a home loan in
    Feb 2009. The bank didn’t send me any alert on this.

    But now they claim that I have to pay Rs. 12,000 against my credit card pending payment. I am very much worried. This is not fair. I ve paid the amount as per the manager said.

    1. I ve never changed my mobile number till date.
    2. I reside in the same address.
    3. Whenever I ve replied to their mails, I was polite and I respected their service
    4. Till date my records are very clean.
    5. The problem here is, I don’t ve the bills and the final settlement letter which the manager gave me that day. Its been almost 3 yrs and now am not able to find it at home.

    I never tried cheating the bank. But now they have placed a debit note in my salary account. It means if my salary gets credit this month, the entire Rs.12,000 amount will get detected. I am paying regular EMI to LIC from that account and I need someone to help me in this issue.

    I am very confused and upset. Some one please help me . I would appreciate if I get the justice and I believe the truth ll triumph.

    Default iMint-ICICI nexus

    I was also pretty satisfied with my ICICI credit Card untill they without even informing and without my consent transfered my poits to iMint who for last three months have not delivered me my card.

    Can't the Govt intervene in such malpractices ... is there any online Govt site to lodge an official complaint?

    Hi,i am also expriencing the same thing like savitha.I do not understand why icici and i-mint dept. are doing such stupid work.It is neccessary,without prior permission icici must not transfer the points to i-mint card.

    Unhappy Regarding Protection plus insurance@ ICICI BANK

    Dear sir,/Madam

    I would like to introduce my self to u as Maheswara rao Bheema Having savings and creditcard accounts with your bank. In september i got a call regarding the Upgrading or replacement of my old card. I confirmed it to send that card immediately, meantime that person has told me regarding protection plus insurance plan, he briefly given introduction about that ploicy, he mentioned that U just need to pay only Rs.99/- per year, after that u would get a call regarding the renewal of this policy, i have asked about hard copy details of this policy also i have asked to send mail/post regarding this, up to now i wouldn't received any , after one week i have called to customer care regarding of the delivery of my card, he told me, it is need to update your home address immediately, he transferred the call to concern dept, i did it immediately, again after one week i have called for delivery of card, he mentioned need to update office address also, again i have updated which is same as earlier. after 4 months i have received that card finally in the last week of January, but every month iam paying Rs-99/- for that insurance, i don't understand why it is happening.even u know for last month payment i have to pay extra amount, because of Bandh and holidays, bit late in credit card payment, You people charged amount 400+175+41+18.... If this process is ok....then how you people deduct Rs-99/- every month, which is not fair, even u can check my recorded voice for the same.

    Default IMINT is such a big fraud

    Hi,
    I experienced the same problem as Savitha. I've been trying to get the card for almost 1 year now and still no reply. Both ICICI Bank and I-mint are useless, careless companies. I guess I'm going to quit all this nonsense and shift to another bank account too. Their customer care services are really the most horrible. That too, IMINT has such horrid prices and the rewards are either damaged or of really bad quality. If you take a jacket, which is actualy Rs.50/- in the local markets you get it for about Rs. 1500/- in I-Mint. I really am disappointed of the pathetic services in the reward points section.

    Default i mint vouchers are also fraud

    I also want to complain about i mint & tanishq. I have an icici bank credit card, and i jad redeemed points from my i mint card. I had taken tanishq voichers worth 4k , when i went to south ex tanishq store they refused to acknowledge those vouchers saying i mint hasnt paid them for those vouchers.
    Not only that the store manager was extremly curt & rude. Guess what the imint customer care reply was- have you tried these vouchers in another store?
    Isnt is embarrassing enough that I had to sit around and listen to the store manager being rude to me
