ICICI bank looting hardearned money by name of credit card dues Hi,
I had requested to cancel the card after payment of all outstanding dues last year May 2008. On asking for any confirmation letter, i got a reply that we do not issue that. I was instruted to destroy the card and i did the same. After that i did not get bills for next two months which was a indication of card cancellation to me. Suddenly, i got call from ICICI in Aug 2008 for outstanding dues. I did the payment of 1370/- for the outstanding dues in OCT via a chq since then. I was promised for the settlement letter with in 3 days by courier. But, it was not issued to me.
Now, in May 2009, even after e-mailing twice for settlement, my savings account was deducted for amount 6896.46/- with out any intimation to me. ICICI bank is looting the customers without any process in place. They are charging the customers without any rules and regulations.
Even after trying for settlement many times it was not cleared and my savings account was deducted with out any intimation although i have not given any instructions for auto deduction or linking both the accounts.
Moreover, the amount that has been deducted can not be correct.

ICICI Bank deducted Rs.21038/- from my SB account against outstanding of CC W/O info Dear sir,
I have my SB account & credit card with ICICI Bank since 2002. I have a discussion with ICICI bank for settlement of my credit card since June'2009 when the out standing was Rs.51,000/-. Prior to June'2009, payment against said card was continuous through ECS & necessary payments were deducted from my account. I stopped ECS & payments, when I asked their customer care for settlement of card , & non co-operation shown by them towards settlement.
An email was sent to them for settlement which was responded by them stating there is no facility available for settlement. I have all the correspondence saved in my internet banking account which can be referred at any time.
Every time their representing were asking for minimum payment rather then settlement.
After lot of discussion, they finally ready for settlement on an amount which was not agreed by me because the amount was very high & more than the usage.
I again communicated them that I can settle the outstanding in Rs.40,000/- for which I was expecting their revert.
Surprise to see that, rather then their revert, they debited Rs.21,038/- from my SB account without any information & communication(SMS/Mail or Letter).
When I spoke their customer care, they told me that this is a part payment of CC outstanding which is recovered from SB. When I spoke to them that this is illegal & unauthorised, they told me that ICICI bank have rights to take said steps from other sources/account/securities with them.
Presently my account is attached with my EMI's of personal loan & car loan. As my account is under control of ICICI bank, I am afraid that ECS to my said account will be bounced.
I want the matter to be takeup strongly with ICICI bank to stop such non sense steps & my account to be released for further debits. Matter of Credit Card outstanding can be handled separately.
