I'm customer of HDFC Bank & opened a Demat A/c this year. At time of opening the a/c it was committed & confirmed by bank branch that no charges shall be levied during first year of operation except commission charges & taxes (as applicable). Based on same I signed the a/c opening form & other relevant docs.

I traded certain shares on same in month of March09 & April09. The amount was transferred to my SB a/c post deduction of comm. & taxes. Surprisingly, in month of April09 & May09 some Depository charges were debited to my SB a/c. When confirmed thru phone banking this pertains to depository charges levied when charges are debited from customer a/c.

This is false commitment given to customer over charges levied/ applicable to service(s). I approached the bank branch also but no one helped me on same.
