The HSBC credit card no: 4384599913135983 was alloted to me and few of my colleagues when i was working with Harita TVS claiming the card to be exempted of all annual charges. But it was only in year 2007 that i realsied that they made a false promise when the HSBC approached me for the first time over the payment. I claimed that i would be happy to payback if the amount reflected in statemnet was due to some purchase done and asked them to get back on the same. Later i even claimed them to cancel my card. But its been three years since the issue started and a year since i settled (27/04/2009), I still see my name on CIBIL. I have been sending mails for last one year to get my settlement letter and also to get my name traced out of CIBIL, but callcenter gives me alternate number to contact and they claim that card is now cancelled and they cant find any information on the same. Please see my mail dated 16/07 and many such mails were sent to them and still see no response from them.

Subject: RE: Amount settled, but still final letter not recieved from Bank
Hi HSBC,
The HSBC charged me the service charges for the card which got expired in Oct 2008, though initially it was said to be a life time free card with no annual charges i had a surprise balance of 12000 odd accumulated over three years.
Finally in the month of April when bank approached me, we came to a settlement point where in i was asked to pay amount of Rs 4345 as a settlement amount (Refer to CPD3 challan no 0519011 and 0518908) and got the settlement reference no FFS/NI/NDH/CPD/W0/20409. I was told by HSBC that i will receive the final settlement letter in a matter of 4 days, later due to my US travel i couldn't follow-up. I tried to reach a representative called ISHANT who helped out with my settlement, but didn't have luck
Today i received one more sms saying my balance is 8000 rupees. Please let me know as whether i will get the help from the bank positively or should i go legally for the justice.
Best Regards,
Mahesh Shimoga
