    Angry Discre[pancy in CIBIL report

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I have applied for Housing loan LIC, during the process i recd an information that my CIBIL report reflects some unknown credit card with huge outstanding. So the Loan was stopped.

    I requested CIBIL to give me the Fresh report, wherein i have recd with the same discrepancy as reported by LIC.

    I Enquired the 2 banks which has wrongly updated my account in CIBIL.

    HSBC Bank & ICICI Bank, Both the banks orally (phone banking)admitted that the shown Credit card account in CIBIL doesnot relate to me. But not have send a correction mail or Letter to CIBIL to update the records.

    This process has been more than 2 months, till now no one has taken concrete action to update my records.

    This has totally affected my loan process, & my Builders has already informed to charges 10% Interest charge on the amount to be paid by the Loan. If iam not paying the amount before end of this week, I may loose the property & the advance amount which i have paid to Builder.

    So, This is an serious issues as far as iam concerned, I need the report to be cleared immediately.

    All the 3 organization has to pay the compensation - HSBC, ICICI, CIBIL.

    CIBIL - has no right to store wrong information about me, & no right to declare the same to other entity.
    HSBC & ICICI - Has to shoulder the responsbility of providing the wrong information in the CIBIL database & therby stopping my loan process.

    I need concrete action on the 3 organization.

    I CHECKED discrepancy as reported by IDBI. I VISITED THE ADDRESS GIVEN IN REPORT AND FOUND THAT THE DEFAULTER BEARS SAME NAME & DOB OF ME BUT HAS DIFFERENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS AND DIFFERENT GRANDFATHERS NAME. THE DEFAULTER HAS TAKEN LOAN FROM ICICI BANK FROM PUNE. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT ICICI HAS GIVEN LOAN WITHOUT ITS CUSTOMER'S PAN. BUT WHEN HE BECAME DEFAULTER, THE BANK ACCESSED MY PAN FROM DIT SITE AND REPORTED THE DEFAULT IN MY NAME/PAN AS THE DEFAULTER DO NOT HAVE PAN. I VISITED THE ICICI BANK AND REQUESTED TO INFORM TO CIBIL TO MAKE CORRECTION. BUT THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING MY APPLICATION SAYING THAT CIBIL WOULD HAVE MADE WRONG ENTRY AND THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAME. THEY FURTHER SAID THAT THEY WILL ONLY DEAL WITH CIBIL IF ASKED BY CIBIL.     I HAVE SENT SO MANY E-MAILS TO ICICI FROM THEIR WEBSITE BUT NO PROPER RESPONSE.

    Angry Barclays Bank not clearing accounts after full and final settlement

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I have had some Credit Card outstanding payment issues with Barclays Bank credit card which I have settled by paying an amout of Rs. 7500/- and received a settlement letter in the month of January 2010. It's general presemption which I had the the card will be invalidated and account will be closed. However, I started getting calls from Barclays Collection department that I still bear an outstanding on their card and need to pay that.

    Apart from that I have applied for a PL with HDFC which is been declined of approval, reason being low CIBIL scores. When I inquired about the reson for low scores, HDFC stated the I have defaulted in credit card payments and hence the bank cannot lend a loan.

    I have spoken to customer care of Barclays Bank and they say that I have to talk to the concerned person who was dealing with the settlement of this accound and refrain to take an immediate action to report the correct status to CIBIL.

    This entire thing is affecting my credentials for availing banking services.

    This is serious issue and I need guidance for a quick redressal of this issue.

    I have applied for Housing loan in AXIS & IDBI banks, during the process i received an information that my CIBIL report reflects some unknown credit card with huge outstanding. So the Loan was stopped.

    I requested CIBIL to give me the Fresh report, wherein i have recd with the same discrepancy as reported by AXIS & IDBI. In CIBIL report my date of birth and 2 addresses and 5 credit card accounts are wrong .

    I Enquired the 3 banks which has wrongly updated my account in CIBIL.

    HSBC Bank , American Express and HDFC Bank, Both the banks orally (phone banking)admitted that the shown Credit card account in CIBIL doesnot relate to me. But not have send a correction mail or Letter to CIBIL to update the records.

    This process has been more than 1 months, till now no one has taken concrete action to update my records.

    I have taken a personal loan from ICICI bank on December 2007, and had some pending EMIs on loan as of January 2010. I paid the pending EMIs, plus the remaining amount of loan and went for a pre-closure of loan on 16th February, 2010. I was assured at that time that my CIBIL will be updated within one month. Till now, it has not yet happened and my CIBIL report still shows that I have a outstanding amount pending with ICICI. My new loan application got rejected because of this even though I have all the eligibility and no outstanding loans. When you are not getting EMIs correctly, you are updating the CIBIL and why don't it happen when we pay the EMI, why don't the CIBIL gets updated. I have contacted CIBIL, and they informed me to contact ICICI. I can provide you more details if you need. Let me know what to do further as I need to close this immediately.

    Unhappy Rectification / changes in CIBIL report

    i have obtained a Credit card from Bobcards during Nov.2005 and used upto 2006. During, end of 2006, i have relocated to Chennai and informed the same to their both Coimbatore & Chennai offices, but there is no updation in their records and i have not received any communication in time. Due to this, i was unable to get the statement at Chennai, every month, i have to collect the statement from Madurai. Eventhough, i had deposited my cheque in chennai, it was cleared with huge delay. that also, i have informed thier branch office. but not no positive result. During, Jan'2009, i have remitted the balance amount and my balance was NIL.

    During March 2010, i was tried to swipe the card for my purchase, at the time i was experience that the card transaction declained. Immediately, approached your Chennai branch and they replied that the card was closed due to NIL transaction for long duration.

    Due to non-updation of my relocation, i faced lot problem in my remittances. the delayed payment was only because of this reason.

    But, i came to know that, they (BOB Cards ) had updated in CIBIL report about my credit rating as "WILFUL DEFAULT". which is not at all digestable.

    kindly arrange to update / rectify the same in CIBIL report.
