    Default Axis Bank ATM dispensed less amount of INR 800

    Respected Sir/Madam,

    My name is Rakesh Kumar, contact no. 9650088676, e mail ID is chiranjeevmetro@gmail.com.
    My Savings Bank A/C is with ICICI Bank A/C no. 000701532341
    ATM & Debit Card no. is 4026570007034535.
    My address is F-404 Metro Vihar Shastri Park Delhi-1100533.

    On 23rd December. at 1237 hours I wanted to withdraw INR 1000. from AXIS BANK ATM West
    Rohtash Nagar New Delhi. ATM ID S1AC1663.

    The ATM dispensed only INR 200. The security guard on duty informed the matter to Bank officials and shut
    down the ATM.

    I informed the matter to Axis bank helpline no. 18604258888. They said to lodge complaint with ICICI Bank.

    Then I informed ICICI bank helpline vide SR no. 127784853 dated 23/12/2009.

    On 07/01/2010, I again contacted ICICI Bank helpline and was informed that Axis Bank has refused for
    reversal of INR 800 stating that transaction was succesfully completed.

    From the video footage and statement of the security guard on duty it can be proved that the machine
    has dispensed only INR 200.

    The Axis Bank staff involved in loading cash in ATM must have found INR 800 excess during the next cash
    loading cycle.

    It is requested that this matter may be kindly considered at your end and the amount of INR 800 may be credit
    to my ICICI Bank A/C no. 000701532341.

    I have also sent email to the Banking Ombudsman Shri H Kulshreshtha
    Reserve Bank of India Building
    2nd Floor, 6, Sansad Marg
    New Delhi - 110001

    Hello Rakesh Kumar,

    We have gone through your complaint and suggest you to send a written notice to the CMD of the Parent bank and ask them for the refund with interest + damages within the mentioned time of 15-20 days, else you will knock the consumer forum.

    The below mentioned judgment may help you:

    ATM not working properly -- Facility has been provided to saving bank account holder, such services have been provided for consideration, hence the saving bank account holder is a consumer, complaint maintainability account holder.
