    All Govt. of India Gazetted holidays are the only holidays observed by Consumer Forums.

    Default online transaction fraud

    I am residing on Bangalore. I am having saving’s account with ICICI bank, M.G road branch, Acc No: 000201577315. On 29th august, 2009, I was trying to withdraw the amount from ATM. But, I could not able to with draw the amount. Despite I had enough money around 85,000 rupees. Later, I contacted ICICI bank I was found that there were no money in my account. Later, I found that entire amount 85,000 has been taken from my account illegally by some outsider through online. Someone, transfer the 85000 rupees to some account from my account in 2 transaction as 50,000 and 35,000. Totally, 85,000 rupees has been taken from my account through online facility available on ICICI bank on 28-08-2009. Complaint already launched. Since, 2 month no effective action taken from ICICI side. I strongly believe it must be done within the ICICI bank employee. Like, someone from call centre passed my personnel info to the fraudster. They, manage to get into my account and transfer the amount. I , still cannot understand how could anyone get into my account and transfer the money. Since, it is required to register the person and some secret number will be sent to the mobile which I am using. Then the secret code should be enter into the net banking account and should be validated by me. As the mobile with me how that cheater can validate the account on which my money had transferred. I just launched complaint to RBI against ICICI bank regarding this fraud. When I approach the police to file FIR, they refused to take my plea as ICICI taking the action which is in progress. Police advised me to wait for some time and asked me to launch a complaint if ICICI fail to take action. Since, 2 month nothing had happened.
