Hello Sir,
This is to bring to your notice a strange situation wherein, I ordered an
item from a big brand "SHOPPERS STOP". Everyone is aware of such a big brand
and so can be trusted. I ordered a shirt from this brand on 6 September.
According to the delivery period as mentioned in their website, it was
written that it will be delivered in 2-4 working days.
While tracking the order status for the third day, when the order status
didn't changed from what it was on the very first day i.e ' Confirmed', I
called up the Customer Care and left an email also.
While there was no response to the 3-emails that I sent marked 'URGENT', the
customer care told once told me that he will manage and will try to deliver.
The other day when I called up and asked for the status, he said we cannot
deliver as it is out of stock.
If the Item was out of stock, then it should not have been listed on the
online website for purchase purpose.
And if it was listed, they should have simply informed me the very next day
that it is out of stock so we cannot deliver.
They wasted my 3 days, which could have been saved if i have selected some
other product or tried some other online website portal.
Such carelessness is not all expected from such a Big Brand like SHOPPERS
STOP.
I would like to register a case in consumer court for the same , please let
me know how to proceed further.
