I urge all readers to ban this website - FloraIndia.com - for their absolutely callous and unprofessional attitude.
I placed an order on their website for Valentine's day. My order number is IY9420. Within an hour of placing the order, I heard that the person I wanted flowers delivered to had a death in the family. I didn't want the delivery to be made because it would have seemed very insensitive. I very clearly stated that I just want delivery cancelled; I didn't care whether they would refund my money or not.
The delivery was scheduled for 15 February. I sent an email to serve@floraindia.com requesting for cancellation of the order immediately. Their website states that orders can be cancelled only by writing to them and one day before delivery. But they never got back to me. After shooting the email I spent the next 7-8 hours (from 4.30 PM in the evening to 11 PM) trying to reach them on the phone. The phone numbers they have listed as customer service on their website - 93502 99802, 93505 51301 - do not work at all. There is a continuous connection error. I also tried the US number they have listed on the website - 1-646-502-8256. The call to this number always goes to the voicemail. Nobody ever answers. What kind of customer service is this that you do not even have valid, working phone numbers on your website? Why is it that Flora India does not have a cancel order option on the website itself when you have a order online option?
With some difficulty I traced some other numbers for this company - 011 66265381, 011 66444226, 99108 11225, 98718 88344. The last one is said to be their outlet in Hyderabad. The first two landline numbers connect but an electronic voice says that all lines are busy and disconnects immediately. The third number - 99108 11225 - is either busy or when it rings there is just NO RESPONSE. After trying all these numbers continuously till about 11.30 PM, I gave up. In the interim I also sent multiple emails; I didn't receive a response for even one of them.
I got back on the phone again early this morning - the website states that customer service lines are open from 8 AM to 9 PM. I had no hope, but I wanted to do all that I can so that I do not cause further pain to the person who was already grieving. I started calling all of these numbers since 8 AM. Again, the same experience. Nobody answers on 9910811225. The land line numbers still continue to say their lines are busy (at 8 AM?).
It is very clear that all FloraIndia is interested in is taking orders and harassing its customers. I have now read other reviews on the web about this site, and everybody seems to have had a horrible time dealing with them. I now wish I had read up about them before. I would never have ordered anything from them. This has been a very frustrating and traumatic experience for me. I have spent sleepless night wondering what I can do. I am posting this so that others can learn from my experience. I have also decided that I am going to sue FloraIndia for the trauma they have put me through.
I would never order anything from this website. I do hope that anybody who reads this review will also take cognizance of this experience and stay away from them. Boycotting them is the only way we can force a business to be more responsible and accountable.
I do not wish anybody to go through what I did.
