I purchased Iphone 3GS from the seller madmax_rocketsell on ebay. The guy suggested me to go for wire transfer and not PaisaPay(which is much safer). Also he told he will not entertain door pickup(though i said my friend will pick it up from his place), and that he will only courier it.
With a couple of suspicions i still purchased it, since the guy seemed to be confident and knew what he was talking about. I didn't know that i was up for becoming a fool.

Before purchasing i called him, he said below features of the phone
1) Its Iphone 3GS
2) Its factory unlocked
3) Its in IOS 4.3.3
4) Its in very gud condition(no cracks, scratches)
5) He will give full refund if i'm not satisfied and return it.

Well, i transferred money to his account on 24th Jan 2012 and he shipped it through fedex on 28th. I received the item on 1st feb, and once i opened the pack..VOILA a stream of surprises hit me
1) Its an Iphone 3G in a box of Iphone 3GS
2) Its not factory unlocked but software unlocked(hacked)
3) Its on some older IOS version(3.1.3)
4) It has a crack on the backpanel which seller never mentioned before.

Completely disappointed, i called him only to know that
1) He claims that he sent the correct item and i am bluffing
2) If i wanted returns, he will give 80% of it, opposed to what he said(full refund) in his listing(check the picture attached)
3) He will not give full refund even though he verified that the mobile he sent me is Iphone 3G by comparing the IMEI of the mobile he had noted down before sending to me. This is because it costed him some amt to list his item on ebay and courier charges etc.

He said he will send a watch which comes free in the package..ofcourse it never came..

So the conclusion is: I really wanted to buy a good phone, i paid seller in a way i cannot prove(no paisapay protection), i received some downgraded product, Seller claims he sent the correct item and if go for refund, i ll lose 20% of the amount.

Oh did i tell you, seller thinks that the phone is factory unlocked because it has got Cydia icon on the phone screen..OMG LOL. Phone is jailbroken/hacked for god's sake...

I am only posting this here so that another person wont have this kind of experience. Seller seems to have activated that listing again..Another Iphone 3GS(or not), factory unlocked(or not) is on the way to some other door step..
