I placed an online order on homeshop18.com with the order number as 909239041 on Jan 22, 2012. As the website claims the shipment was to be done with 6-7 working days (i.e it was to be delivered by 30th Jan 2012. I has ordered this as a gift for a person who was leaving town by 31st. But instead of the product i received an SMS from HSP18 on Jan 30th about the delayed status for the shipment. When i raised this with their service executive (case id - 69686563, spoke to Mr Pandit -immediate supervsor) they promised to refund and ship the product latest by 31th.
I still do not have the product. I got a call today about they trying to locate the parcel which sounds pathetic from such a high claiming shopping portal. ARAMEX is the courier service which they have tie up with (certainly not the best now).
Apart from refund and the product i want to claim penalty for missing the promised deadline, and causing undue embarassment in-turn to the customer.
Also the order status on my HSP18 account shows "Shipment handed over to the courier", attaching the screenshot below.
