I placed an order for BB Playbook (32GB-Wifi) on 29/Dec. Order number is 753685. When I placed the order the product was well in stock as per Letsbuy.com. The product is not yet delivered. I got one communication from them saying the product that I ordered is "selling like a hot cake" and hence there will be delay in delivering my product. But that didn't mentioned what is the duration of that delay is. Irrespective of repeated calls to their customer care center and emails, I never got call back that was promised to happen within 24hrs on each of my call to them.

When I spoke to the customer care center yesterday they told me that RIM has not honored their orders for this product and that they have DISCONTINUED the product. Why would RIM discontinue Playbook when they just showcased their Playbook OS 2.0 at CES 2012. Well in any case that is not the issue here. Finally they offered me three options:

1. Replace my order with Samsung Galaxy Tab with android 2.2 froyo and 16Gb memory. - NO. I do not agree that this is a right replacement for BB Playbook 32Gb that I ordered.
2. Refund the amount - Well I take it ONLY IF that refund amount can buy me a BB Playbook 32Gb now in the market.
3. Buy anything worth that amount from their site - First, if I had to buy ANYTHING I wouldn't have bought Playbook. Second, why would anybody buy with them after this experience and how can I TRUST them now.

So, they promised to arrange me a callback by 12pm today to discuss further which of-course never happened as expected. I will not be cancelling my order and I can't digest the alternate product that they are offering. I need a better alternate or current price of Playbook that I ordered.

My questions for letsbuy.com
1. You mentioned that due to technical problems the product was showing as IN STOCK when I made the purchase. In this case you are clearly CHEATING your customers by telling customers that you have the products in stock when you really don't have. I lost an opportunity to buy the Playbook in the promotional offer. If you would have told me that the product was not stock, I would have purchased elsewhere.
2. What was the basis for deciding the counter/alternate product that you're offering. If it is based on specifications, you know that it doesn't compete the product that I ordered. Since you are at guilty, I expect your alternate product to be better than what I ordered.
3. After going through many complaints in this forum, I really wonder whether you even CARE about your customers. I rarely saw any thread where you mentioned that the issue is addressed apart from endless sorry's and apologies.
