yes truly "india" our country today, yesterday and tomorrow how it was dreamt of by the father of the nation and what we have made it........

it was on around 16th February 2009, i had received an email advertisement from INDIA TODAY BOOK Club.

i thought it was a useful thing for me and i trusted the online shopping system, as i had never been cheated before by any one online.

I had ordered India Today Book Club vide Order no. M-COMMERCE / 0GA09000 2943 on 16 Feb 2009, the payment has been made through my SBI credit card to them. the amount was 3198.00 for Reebok set of items like shoes, track suits, towels.

BUT inspite of repeated complaints and enquiries and related talks with those guys on phone number 011 - 4050 2424, they are telling they are trying to solve the issue and its been since Feb 09, i am unable to receive any response them.

The details of conversations are:

on 24 - Mar - 2009: talked with Mr Amar deep, Interaction id: 35210 : he said the item has not been despatched but will be despatched within next 4-5 days.

on 03 - April - 2009 talked with Mr Lalit Mohan, interaction id: 51340 : he said the item has been booked with the postal department with consignment number ED 851928330 IN from Speed Post.

on 18 - May - 2009 talked with Mr Dinesh, interaction id: 106785, he said this will be taken down as complaint and will take few days say a week to get resolved. he assured that the ordered things will reach the consigned place shortly.

on 18 - May - 2009 talked with Mr Samrat, interaction id: 106810, he said the complaint will be given priority and the ordered items will be sent / resolved with 15 days.

and today is 31 May 2009 and there is no news from INDIA TODAY.......

They are cheating and is there any one to stop them from cheating any further indians or any other human being on this planet...... really unworthy people i have dealt with and un committed also.

I believe the issue here will get resolved.

I was trying to buy Reebok shoes(size 7) through India Today Book Club, but the message said that delivery is not possible at 'Sambalpur, orissa'. So i gave up the attempt, I didn't get any order number But i have been charged Rs 1198/- on 29.11.2009 at my icici credit card i am forwarding details of charging my credit card account against a purchase not made by me. :

The amount charged against my credit card be reversed immediately

On July’09, a telesales executive from India Today Book Club had contacted me and informed me abt the offer where you buy 12 books from ITBC and you are entitled to a Free Holiday of 3D+2N. As it was a call from India Today, I thought it was a genuine offer and had gone ahead and taken it. As promised, I have received the books in a couple of weeks…but the trouble started after that!! As per the instructions mentioned on the form for the holiday voucher, I had filled up the form with my 3 choice of destinations, 3 choice of dates and had mailed it to “Premier Sales Promotion, Bangalore” along with a draft of Rs. 899.00 on 6th November’2009. In a couple of weeks, I had called them and they confirmed the receipt of the form and the draft. After that I did not hear anything from them. I tried calling them numerous time…either nobody picked the phone or I would get a rude reply that it was under processing! My dates were on 1st Jan’10 (Poovar), 23rd Jan’10 (Munnar) and 2nd Apr’10 (Udupi). Finally in my last call a couple of days back, they informed me that none of the destination are available on the suggested dates! This is extremely disappointing and I feel cheated. Under these circumstances, I have the following requests for you:
1. Refund me the amount which I had spent on the books (Rs. 2598.00) + the draft amount (Rs. 899.00) amounting to Rs. 3497.00. The books are in ‘as-it-is’ condition as we never got a chance to read them.
2. Send me a Holiday Confirmation Slip with the mentioned destination and date within the next 15 days
