Dear Sir,

I had got a email from Bag it today, online exciting offers on various branded merchandise. Looking at the attractive deal and the watch they had in their collection. I too was tempted to place the order online.
I had placed an order for the Numero uno watch where I had ordered online almost 3 weeks before. But I have yet to receive my consignment. I keep getting messages that your order has been dispatched on 05/06/2011, but today we are on 13th June, 2011. But no sign of the watch. When I tried searching for the customer care number to inform them that I have yet to receive my watch. I came across this forum.

These online companies like Bag it today, come up with good concepts on online shopping but turn out to be fraudsters and cheaters of the 1st grade.

Luckily I didn't pay for the watch online or else even I too would have have been in a big soup.

This is one of the biggest risk or threat of shopping online. You always have the fear of getting duped.

Request the consumer court to take action against such fraud companies like Bag it today.

I had placed an order yesterday 4th July 2011 but havent received any confirmation/order id. Can you please let know by when will I (or how much time does it take for order/confirmation id to reflect on your system) get the same. It seems strange that I dont have any other number from Bagit today to quote for your reference check, so only if you can guide me with how many days it takes to reflect by order id on your system.

R/Sirs/Madam,

I am a customer of ‘Bag It Today.’ Before happening this incidence
I have purchased some goods from them. On 22 Apr. 2011 I received a call from
Bag It Today and a caller told his name as Meghraj Shinde. He told me that your
Name is selected for a gift. You would get about 6 to 10 Diamonds costing about
60,000/- rupees and also a latest ‘BlackBerry’ mobile phone worth Rs. 25,000/-
He added that for this valuable gift I have to pay only Rs. 25,699/-. I agreed for the
same and then he told me to open Bag it Today site and fill up the form displayed
on the site. I did it. On that form the Amount was written Rs. 20,999/- So Mr.
Meghraj Shinde told me to pay separately Rs. 4,700/- At that time immediately
paid Rs. 20,999/- and Rs. 4,700/- by using my HDFC Bank Credit Card. Then
within Five minutes Mr. Meghraj Shinde gave me a call again. He told me that
I was selected for Bag It Today Cash Prize of Rs. 10,00,000/-. He congratulated
me and told and assured me for cash prize. His another colleague Mr. Rahul
supported his words. Again Mr. Meghraj told me to open Bag It Today site and
told me to fill a form three times. Each time I paid Rs. 34,999/- from my Business Account through Bank of India. So this way I paid total Rs. 1,04,997/- Then
Mr. Meghraj told me that Bag It Today would refund Rs. 70,000/- out of
this amount. He and Mr. Rahul also assured me about not to worry about this deal because , “You are dealing with India Today group!” they added. Then Mr. Meghraj told me that
I would soon receive a call from his office. Whatever the person on the phone would say;
just say ‘Yes” to that person and talk nothing else. I did it.
Next day i.e. on 23 April 2011 again I received a call from ‘Bag It Today’. This
Time a lady who told her name as Kritika was on the line. She first congratulated me
And then told that soon I would receive two tickets of Airline and I have to reach
Delhi by a Plane for taking cash prize. She also added that I had to pay Rs. 75,000/-
Immediately as TDS just for show and this amount would be refunded to me. That
Time I was out of station and I was unable to pay that amount at that time. When
I said it to Miss Kritika she forced me to tell my Credit or Debit Card No.; @@@ No. and also a password. When I shown my inability for this then she handed over a phone to her
colleague named Mr. Ashwin. He assured me that I was dealing with India Today Group
and no miss use would be done of this information. He also told that the money I was
going to deposit to Bag It Today would be sent to a foreign company and due to time
difference between the two countries I had to deposit this amount immediately otherwise
my name from the list of cash prize winners would be cancelled. I provided all the secret
information; but due to his unfortunate he didn’t succeed in withdrawing the amount from
my account. Then when I came back to home I deposited that amount. Before that Ms. Kritika contacted me and told the site to be opened. I deposited Rs. 18,999/- for four
times. Total Amount Rs. 75,996/-. Then she told me we are not sending any material. It is
just to show for TDS. Now you would get a ring agail and whatever the person on phone would say just say ‘Yes” to him. Don’t say anything else. I did so.
Next i.e. on 24 Apr. 2011 again I received a call from Bag It Today. Now a man who told his name as “Vivaan” on line. He told me to take out my Credit Card and pay
Rs. 37,998/-. I asked why? So he replied that he would just explain me. After doing that he
cut the phone. All the calls I received were made from following numbers 01140782300 /
+911149560000 / +911166077000. Initially when I tried to contact back on these numbers
I didn’t get any response and I am getting only one answer i.e. this phone number does not
exist. If those were the fake persons then how I received 6 parcels of the material, from Bag It Today; which was not ordered by me? In all these dealings I lost my Rs.2,44,690/-
which was kept for cataract operations of my both eyes. Also saved for my elder son’s
education and to pay the premiums of Insurance of my two sons.
I request all the authorities to look into the matter personally. One sanyasi Shree
Tejomayanandaji also got cheated by these people for about Rs. 2,50,000/-. It means it
Is a common practice of Bag It Today (India Today). So it must be stopped by somebody
else who can fight with the power of India Today. They choose common man for cheating because such people are unable to fight with the power of India Today Group. Somebody
must raise the voice against it. And I have decided to do it. That is why I am writing this
letter to you.

It unbilivable............ Peoples like india today groups can run money scam in the name of bagittoday.
Be aware of these calls +912047917200 and +9112047916900. Do not belive there words. Do n't slip by there statement. Do dont give any credit/debit card information.

You will never get any replay after giving the complain. They make you fool.

Truely they are running chanel like "aaj tak hindi news chanel" sab se tez............in scam......

BAGIT TODAY people cheating the customers by luring the customers with one offer and sending other items.on 15th december one bloody idiot lady as she was saying her name as KANIKA told me i am one of the top 5customers from ap and so providing an offer Anaira Diamonds worth Rs30K and get a Bedsheet with Pillow Cover,Comforter,9ft Curtain5 pcs,Cushion Cover as a gift. and also one SURPRISE GIFT SONY XPERIA PRO mobile all for rs 19999 and she told when i get call from verification department i shud not tell about the surprise gift becoz its a surpise for top 5customers of AP and even i asked if i wont get mobile wat shud i dO she told SIR BAGITTODAY is a very famous goup of INDIA TODAY GROUP and never does like that and i will be receiving the surpirse gift and asked me nearly 4 to 5times for which i agreeed and and paid through credit card. but to my surpise i DIDNT GET THE MOBILE what has been promised by that idiot lady. u can check the call record THE CONVERSATION HAD ON 15 AND 16TH DECEMBER 2011 WHICH I had with that lady.now i want to sent back the product which you sent me by cheating .BAGITTODAY PEOPLE ARE CRAZY OF CHEATING THE CUSTOMERS .
