On 1st march , I ordered a swatch watch (product code h123) from ava merchandising catalogue received along with hdfc bank credit card bill. My order number is HD6216.I paid for this through my hdfc credit card.On 2nd march I received a message that my product has been dispatched via dtdc. I called them on 14th march to follow up, and they could not give my tracking shipment number of dtdc because their server was down. They asked me for a days time, and I obliged. They kept saying that the server was down till march 29th. I pressed upon them that I need to speak to a senior executive and after innumerable calls, I could talk to a manager. I told him to get my shipment number from the back end team. He succumbed to the pressure and gave me my shipment number on march 29. On tracking from dtdc website, I saw that the product has been delivered to a person called Masoom in hyderabad! My delivery address was the same as my credit card billing address, which is in infantry road bangalore. I had confirmed my address around 10 times to the ava merchandising team, along with my mobile number. They kept claiming that they ve delivered the product and I confronted them with the facts derived from DTDC shipment tracking. They behaved as if it is a common mistake which is possible by anybody. They said that these kind of mistakes keep happening(!):@ and they need a weeks time to sort it out and they will certainly re-dispatch my product within 4th april. I patiently waited , but there was no correspondence from their side. I followed up and called them on 5th april, and got the response that they need to retreive the product delivered to the wrong address before they re-dispatch my product :D They want 7 more working days to sort out the problem and I am sure these 7 days will extend to 7 months and still they will give the same response. I asked them to refund the money, but they said it ll take 2 months!! I have also read complaints about their refund cheques bouncing. I have approached hdfc bank also, but they are of little help. Please help.
