it is extremely sad to write that the indiatimes shopping website (part of times of india group) is a pathetic service provider.
I had placed an order for a branded car music system as advertised by them on their website on 29/12/2009.(order no - 112111624,) the product was shipped on 2/1/2010. the product that i received was not as per the specifications mentioned on their website. so i returned the product to them on 04/01/2010.
i even received a call from indiatimes shopping asking me to give them a time of 3-4 days to refund the amount to my credit card. i mailed them on 19/1/2010 regarding the same and they said it will take another 6 days to resolve the issue.
on 28/1/2010, i receive an email informing that the refund is given to me in the form of Gift Certificate (GC), which i didn't want in the first place.
i replied back to that email on 1/2/2010 asking them to cancel my GC and refund the amount in the same mode of payment (credit card). the GC was blocked and i was asked to wait for further 3-4 days for the refund to be credited back to my credit card. the refund was not give even after 20 days. so finally on 19/2/2010 i mailed to operations head (Abhishek kumar) regarding the issue and he replied back saying that the issue will definitely closed in the next 4 days.
i had been following up with them ever since i canceled the order and its almost 1.5 months and still the issue has been dragged.
today i finally thought its better to take that GC instead of waiting for the refund forever, so when i called them back, they 1st gave me another GC which was a diwali GC (could be redeemed for 4000 and above). when i called them back to get a refund GC, i was told to call after an hour. when i called i was again asked to wait for 4 days first. when i insisted then they asked me to wait for 24 hrs, when i insisted to resolve the issue right then, the executive (amit kumar) rudely said to hold the call for 24 hrs. when i kept holding the call, he cut the call abruptly after the almost 2 hr call.
i feel indiatimes shopping is not following the best practices and they dont care a damn about customers. my experience has been horrible.
I hope after posting the complaint here my issue will be resolved fast and i will be provided what i deserve.
I RECOMMEND THE USER OF THE ONLINE SHOPPING WEBSITES TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD WEBSITE.
