Dear Sir/Madam,
This is regarding a online transaction done by online banking for booking 4 tickets worth Rs.760 (as indicated by my bank statement) on pvrcinemas.com PVR Cinemas on the 1st March 2010. I tried contacting pvr support and they registered a complaint via complaint number 00001000041602 & 00001000041117 after verifying the charge and admitting the same in an email dated 7/3/2010(PICTURES ATTACHED). Suprisingly i was assured by the manager at PVR saket that refunds take place within 24 hours, in the email sent they say the same is done within 7 days.
I recieved an email from one CCAvenues India Pvt. Ltd. regarding the same saying that my amount will be refunded in 2 working days(PICTURE ATTACHED) since it as their name on the bank statement i believe they are agents of pvr cinemas in the matter of online booking. They in their email claim that the amount may have been charged even though pvr admits to the same. A movie which is supposed to be recreation has turned more into a hassle and tension not to mention the embaressment i faced at the theater where i had to freshly buy front row seats as the ones i had tried to book had already been sold off.
Kindly register a complaint in the regard or give me further redressal methods for proceeding against the company for making misleading statements regarding refunds and charging bank accounts without delivering. I have sent both the parties emails requesting early refunds but none have replied so far. Kindly give me as to how i can make these companies realise that this is not a civilised way of conducting business & so that any other consumer who might not be as literate and aware as me does not have to face such tension.
Many Regards,
Aseem Gupta
