This is a very frustrating situation. I was booking 4 bus tickets online on behalf of a friend for Hyderabad to Bangalore. After the first transaction, i got a "failed transaction" screen, and corresponding mail and sms. It suggested that money will be refunded in full amount within 7 working days. Hence, i went ahead with "trying again". For the second time also, i got a similar screen showing that the transaction has again failed. Received a similar mail as well. However, this time i receive a sms for a confirmed PNR which meant that the ticket was booked.
On calling up the redbus people to confirm the booking, they told me that 8 tickets have been booked under the email id i gave, corresponding to both the "supposedly-failed-transactions" ! And despite trying to convince them regarding the same with screenshots and mail forwards, they deducted "CANCELLATION CHARGES" for one of the ticket instead of an expected "FULL REFUND". And now they aren't responding at all ! For me, i lost 50% of the money as cancellation charges.. summing up to around 1500 bucks !![]()
