Dear Sir,

I had booked ticktes via make my trip on Seot 10, 2009 when the price per
person was Rs 6219 (inclusive of all taxes) as displayed on the website but
was charged at an average of Rs 7533 approx. The details in the mail below

1) Mail sent to - Make my
trip.com-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Sub: Excess billing for tickets booked at I had booked 4 tickets for
Bangalore to Amritsar for October 12, 2009 through your website at around
11.50 to 12.00 PM today.
- There were 2 choices from Bangalore to Amritsar bearing the same fare
i.e Rs 6219 per person (Incl. of all taxes), the choices being:
- 1) Indigo 6E 154 (Dept @ 10:00) and Kingfisher Red IT 4303 (Dept @
18:35)
- 2) Indigo 6E 275 (Dept @ 10:50) and Kingfisher Red IT 4303 (Dept @
18:35)
- We did check all the other websites for fares and the lowest fare we
obtained was from the respective websites of Indigo and Kingfisher and the
rates we obtained were (3823+2330 = Rs 6153 per person)
- We choose your website for booking the ticket, even though it was
expensive by Rs 66 per person, for the reason that we would have the
convenience of booking the tickets through a single website.
- The flight we booked was - Indigo 6E 154 (Dept @ 10:00) and Kingfisher
Red IT 4303 (Dept @ 18:35) and the rates at the time were Rs 6219 per person
and plus insurance of Rs 111 per ticket.
- On booking we remember the amount to be paid totaling to Rs 24876 + 444
= Rs 25320.
- Having booked the tickets, we also did inquire about a possible change
in the the flight time to Indigo 6E 275 without additional charges (on the
same day). But we were informed by your travel specialist that the
cancellation would amount to Rs 750 + Rs 250 + fare difference, if any. At
that time, we checked the website for fare difference and distinctly noted
that the fare was the same for both the options and was still Rs 6219 and we
informed the same to the travel specialist and she informed that in our case
the even though the shifting was for the same day a cancellation charge of
only Rs 1000 per person would apply.
- On subsequently checking the website I was shocked to see that we had
been charged with the amount of Rs 29,933 and the payment summary in the
makemytrip website indicates Rs 30.533.
- As I have booked the tickets when the fare inclusive of taxes were Rs
6219 per person (plus insurance of Rs 111) request you to rectify the
mistake and reverse the excess amount billed.

3) The

A) Their so called logs that they sent indicated price change -

- But doens't indicate the flight no. of wwhich the price was changed
- They have not provided the time of change
- And how the same has an effect on my booking ID as I recall see a lower
fare of Rs 6219 (inclusive of all taxes) on their website

B) In the makiemytrip website, the have a section customer support --> (sub
section) flight details indicates the payment summary (i.e total payment)

- Amount indicated on the website on September 10, 2009, i.e date of
booking was Rs 30533
- Amount indicated on the website today i.e September 14, 2009, is Rs
29929
- My contention is if their website can display 2 different amounts on 2
different days for the same transaction it is very much possible that their
system charged a higher amount

Whats recourse do I have against such acts of error or fraud as the case may
be.
