I have my SB account No. 30244818061, which was got transferred from the SBI, Vasant Vihar Branch, Dehradun, in the month of August/September, 2011. Subsequently, I requested the SBI, Deorali Bazaar Branch, to update my NetBanking duly changing my mobile No. 92333-08402 for effecting third party transfers through my NetBanking account, as I had no cheques with me then. The purpose was to transfer my funds of Rs.3.95 lacs which was credited by the Provident Fund Office, Dehradun, following settlement of my CPF withdrawal case.The SBI, Deorali Bazaar Branch, Gangtok, East Sikkim, de-activated my NetBanking Account and issued a new NetBanking Kit vide No. E992001072, assuring me that my NetBanking account would be activated in a couple of days. However, it was not done as assured, and I had to withdraw amounts from my account through ATM @ Rs.40,000 per day and went on depositing in my daughter's HDFC Bank account for further transfer to my family at Hyderabad. I had withdrawn these amounts in 8-9 different transactions starting from 30th August to 23rd September, 2011. Thus, I had undergone great mental agony, hardship and stress due to callous attitude of the Bank. And I could not utilize the amounts properly to pay off the de bts, which I had raised at high interests and lost a golden opportunity to pay off my debts.

I, therefore, claim a damage of Rs.5.00 lacs for the utter failure of the SBI, Deorali Bazaar Branch, Gangtok, in rendering the NetBanking services satisfactorily, as stated above.

Further, I also forward separately by email, the petitions submitted to the Banking Ombudsman, RBI, Kolkata, in this regard.
