This issue started in approx june 2007 , I visited Shoppers stop with my mom and purchased a Tshirt , they offered us a shopers stop card. where you can add point and redeem it later, We shop a lot at shoppers stop hence i thought it was be a great idea to get a card. within a few days i was surprised to see a citibank credit card at my doorstep with 0 balance. I thought i would keep it in locker as it is 0 balance i dont need it and wil use it incase i do. then after 3 months i got a call from citibank saying there is a transaction being made for 19000 are you making it? and i screamed ofcourse not. stop the transaction and block the card. I called citibank instantly and they informed the total transaction made was for 4500, hence i said to black the card and send me a CDF (investigation )form as i havent made a single transaction. Later i got a statement of 30900/- out of which i didnt a make a single transaction. these transactions were made online into some us dollar and australian dollar from yahoo site and stuff. i have a elder brother and i know my family hasnt done any transaction. i checked the credit card and it was located right where i had kept it. I called citibank 100 times and most of the representatives hung up on me hearing my query after keeping me on hold so i had to call back aand explain to some other technician. they dont even call back. i spoke to 1 representative and he asked me to fax him as they had not received it. i faxed all the copes again. and then 1 representative confirmed that they had got the fax and asked me to wait for 40 days for the investigation to complete. and that they would call, 3 months passes no call came. i called the customer service again and they kepy disconnecting again. 1 representative mentioned that they not received the fax and hungup. after a few days started getting calls from the collection agencies asking for money i mentioned that i am ready to co-operate and please ask citibank to investigate on the issue and check where the item download or ordered from the internet has gone as i have not done anything. but they kept threatning me and my family. they came to my house and threatened by mom wheni was at work. now i dont know what to do. PLEASE ADVISE.
