Default Deducted but untransferred amount from HDFC bank account

    Hello,

I have transferred an amount of Rs.4000 each on 4th Nov'2010 and 10th Dec 2010 respectively
from HDFC salary account to an SBH account. But till now, the amount (total Rs.8000) has not been credited
to the beneficiary's account even though the same amount was deducted from my account. Being overseas,
I tried to call customer care and they tried to confirm that the amount has been transferred. I have even
registered a compaint with HDFC customer care but not with much success.

When I talked to the beneficiary's bank, they said that they have not received any money and the issue
lies with HDFC. And HDFC says it's hands are clean since it has provided me with an RBI reference number.
It seems I'm caught between two banks with nowhere to go.

The details of transaction are as follows.

    My HDFC Account No: 00931050239734
    Beneficiary's Account No: 62028246181 (IFSC:SBHY0020417)
    RBI Transaction No-1 : 0093HF1030800006 (dtd: 04 Nov'2010)
    RBI Transaction NO-2: 4400013 (dtd: 10 Dec'2010)

Amount: Rs.4000 at each transaction. (total Rs.8000)

I need an immediate advise as to what to do since the money is being held up since last 2 months.

    Thanks
    Raghu

Customer Service - HDFC Bank & SBH,

HDFC bank has emailed me today with the same info as I mentioned above...eg: Transaction numbers etc. I knew this when I was doing my transaction a couple of months ago. There is nothing new that either HDFC or State Bank of Hyderabad has provided to me. When HDFC bank says that NEFT Transfer is successful and SBH has to respond to it to get the funds transferred, SBH says that the problem lies with HDFC.

HDFC and SBH branches being thousands of miles away, I can't keep running between the banks. The response from both the banks has been poor.... being satisfactory is a distant matter.

    I'm still waiting for a solution !!
