Wrong transfer of fund using net banking-icici bank

    Default Wrong transfer of fund using net banking-icici bank

    I wanted to make fund transfer to one of my friend Mr Sajith CS with ICICI a/c no: 025701500421. Mistakably I registered wrong account (no: 027501500421) in his name and transferred Rs 20,000/ on 14.08.2009. I could realize the mistake 4 days later i.e. on 18.08.2009 and immediately contacted 24-hour customer care services of ICICI bank. To add/register payee in ICICI online banking system, it only asks for A/C number & payee nick name .There is no cross verification of A/C holder name, so people generally commit such mistakes. This is deficiency in their system & service as well.
    As per the advice of customer care I contacted ICICI Branch Manager, Bharuch and was aghast to know his denial to accept my written complaint. However customer care service intervention on my request could make him to accept my complaint regarding the said transaction.

    Sir, it is surprising that an ICICI branch has not bothered to look into the customer complaint even after 8 months of the incident. Many phone calls and personal enquiries have not been able to elicit any response from Bharuch branch (0178) except the verbal “we are processing and will let you know”. I contacted the cluster manager but all is vein, what the cluster manager told me is that you have to contact head customer care.

    On 17.03.2010, I also register a level2 complain to the head customer care but the answer is same that I have to contact base branch even though the base branch has not made so far even a phone call from their side.

    Please advise what should I do to get money back ?

    Default Fund Transfer

    Sir,

    Wrongly i transfered 1000/- to some other ICICI account insted of my friend's account on 10th /Sep/2010, after that i called to branch but they told me that we can't help, it is not possible, On 05th/Oct/2010 I spoke with customer care people that you can get back once you go and give the written application to BM, But when i went the BM not accepting the written application too...Again on 6th/Oct i called to customer care people they still told me you can get back money even with out consont of the account holder, i told them the BM not accepting the letter, they call to BM and then he is ready to accept the letter, why he is beheaving , means to give the written application also we have to call customer care? if the illeterate person have ICICI account he can he handle all the circl of this queries..i clearly understood that the ICICI is not for illeterate or under graduates coz they are saying so many stories against one complaint. However on 06th/Oct/2010 he received a letter but orally saying we can't do any thing , can't help you, again i came to my office and called customer care then also they told no sir you can money with out problem coz that opposite bank also ICICI so no need to worry... why both are saying different answers for my query? Please before going to legal activity sort out the problem..

    Default Wrong transfer from bank

    Hi,

    I'm living in an EU country.

    I sold funds in Switzerland and they were supposed to transfer the fund to my bank. But the transferred a much higher sum than the value of the funds.

    Now they are asking me to return the money back.

    Can they force me to return the money?
