    Hi
    I made online transaction to transfer Rs 18000 to friend's A/C but I mistakenly transferred to wrong A/C on date 19/09/2008 with transaction ID: BIL/000075254835/Pay Back/NSP .Actually I had to transfer to A/C no.002901531665(Amandeep Dhir).But I mistakenly transferred to A/C no. 002901531655.Actually he mistakenly send me incorrect number.
    ICICI online banking system is such it only asks for A/C number & registers payee.There is no cross verification of A/C holder so people generally commit such mistakes.This is deficiency in their system.You can find so many such complaints against ICICI bank.Now bank is not able to trace the A/C holder.I had logged complaint to bank but nothing is done.

    Please tell me what should I do to get money back

    Default Same issue here - Wrong wire transfer

    Hi,

    I'm Karthik Balakrishnan working in a IT corporate firm here in Chennai. Yesterday afternoon i accidently transferred 15000 to an unknow person's account from my account instead of transferring it to my friend's account (All these are ICICI accounts only). The person's credentials are with the bank and they are not revealing any details for me to contact that person by myself. I have raised a complaint today @ my local branch and they said they will try to contact that person and that will take at least 15days time. My question is:
    -> What if the person is not reachable?
    -> What if the person closes his account within 15days?
    -> Is there no way that ICICI can consider my written statements as proof of context and revert the transaction back and credit my amount back to my account?

    Please help me by resolving this issue and getting my money back...

    My name is Abhimanyu Singh. I'm also having the similar problem of money transferred to wrong account. As per ICICI bank they are still trying to trace the A/C holder. Please advise with your experience that what will happen if a/c holder is not traceable.

    My name is Abhimanyu Singh, on September 23rd 2009 by mistake I transferred Rs. 20000 to wrong A/C 030601509851 with transaction ID: BIL/000129837554/GorakhBill/NSP .Actually I had to transfer money to A/C no. 030601509831 (Niraj Kumar Srivasatava).But I mistakenly transferred to A/C no. 030601509851.To add/register payee in ICICI online banking system, it only asks for A/C number & payee nick name .There is no cross verification of A/C holder name, so people generally commit such mistakes. This is deficiency in their system & service as well.
    I had given written complaint to ICICI Bank, Vashi branch, Sect-1, Navi Mumbai where I am holding the account. But till now there is no any proper response received from the bank. As per them the courier had returned back from the address of A/C (030601509851) holder & his phone number is also is not working. Means a/c holder is not traceable. Even He has been not access his a/c since long time (more then 1 year) and also his a/c was RS.2200 negative balance before my transaction

    Please advise what should I do to get money back if bank unable to find the a/c holder?

    Hi,
    My case(Fund transfered to wrong A/c) has been resolved by ICICI .I would like to thanks Consumer court & forum who make it easy for me to pursue my complain directly to head of service quality ICICI . My special thanks to ICICI service quality team & Muzaffarpur branch(Bihar). For their great efforts to resolve the issue & providing me all relevant update time to time.

    I have made a transaction to the wrong account number who is actually a friend of my friend's brother. The difficulty herre is my friend's brother doesnot have contact with him since that guy is a marine engineer and now he is in south korea.. so I have the account no.. but no contact no of that person....can someone help me in this...

    ICICI BANK ,NEW DELHI.I had transfered RS 10350/- to the account and i also had a recipt of ICICI BANK of my money deposit. I want to have my money back soon.I am in great trouble help me out my phone no is:- 09960991163,08087192553.I can't somdutt because i don't have any contact of it .

    I am vikas tripathi.I am a working professional. I have transferred 20000/- money to wrong account.I went to ICICI bank branch,I told the situation & also follow up last 4 month but after all branch manager were saying we have sent a letter to that concerning person if he will reply us then let you know .Now about 4 months I did't get any reply.Even the person has negative balance in his account,they are not giving contact details to me due to privacy,that is correct but there must be some way to do this transaction role back even i am presenting all the details with proof.

    Default transferred money to a wrong account - please help me

    Hi,
    My name is Nithiyanantham. As like all did me too did a mistake. My account is in ICICI bank. While registering an Indian bank account number by mistake I missed the last digit of the account number. Actually I had to add 510173086 as a beneficiary. But I added 51017308 which have 8 digits only. But the correct account number is of 9 digits. I don’t know whether this is a valid account number or not. But the transaction is successfully done as per the payment history which is available in Net banking of ICICI.
    I transferred 8000 Rupees from my salary to my father on 5th October. He went to the bank to take money and got shocked after knowing that there is no money in the account. This is bcz of my mistake only Anyone can please tell me what I shall do to get the money back. I am afraid of the conversations here. Many of them told like it is not possible to get it. I planned to go to the home branch on Monday to place the request. What is the actual procedure for this?

    Default Fund Transferred to wrong A/C through SBI Net banking

    My Name is Abhishek Kumar Verma, on 22nd oct 2010 by mistake I transferred Rs. 2000 to wrong Punjab National Bank A/C (135300010077432) with ref No. IR04886300. Actually I had to transfer money to A/C no. 1353000100077432 (Shrinkhala Verma).But I mistakenly transferred to A/C no. 135300010077432.

    While registering an Punjab National bank account number by mistake I missed one digit of the account number. Actually I had to add 1353000100077432 as a beneficiary. But I added 135300010077432 which have 15 digits only. But the correct account number is of 16 digits. I don’t know whether this is a valid account number or not. But the transaction is successfully done as per the payment history which is available in Net banking of SBI. I want to have my money back soon.
