I made online transaction to transfer Rs 18000 to friend's A/C but I mistakenly transferred to wrong A/C on date 19/09/2008 with transaction ID: BIL/000075254835/Pay Back/NSP .Actually I had to transfer to A/C no.002901531665(Amandeep Dhir).But I mistakenly transferred to A/C no. 002901531655.Actually he mistakenly send me incorrect number.
ICICI online banking system is such it only asks for A/C number & registers payee.There is no cross verification of A/C holder so people generally commit such mistakes.This is deficiency in their system.You can find so many such complaints against ICICI bank.Now bank is not able to trace the A/C holder.I had logged complaint to bank but nothing is done.
Please tell me what should I do to get money back

Anyone can please tell me what I shall do to get the money back. I am afraid of the conversations here. Many of them told like it is not possible to get it. I planned to go to the home branch on Monday to place the request. What is the actual procedure for this?
