Investment was done by my gaurdians when I was a minor.

Now, on becoming a major, I have submitted an application to redeem my units on 02/03/2010.
The application has been given with the following documents.
(1) Address Proof - Original Bank Statement.
(2) Copy of Driving License having photograph and signature.
(3) Signature Attestation by my banker Kotak Mahindra Bank with Bank Seal, Employee Id and Name
.
(4) Cancelled Cheque

UTI Mutual Fund has rejected the redemptio request on false grounds.

Complaints on their web site have elicited the following different responses:
(1) required name, staff id no, designation of the employee with official seal who is attesting the request.
(2) it was rejected as the signature of the investor is not matching with the specimen in our records. Please inform the investor to submit a fresh request along with investor's signature verified by investor's bank
(3) required investor signature duly attested by manager of any nationalized bank with official seal, name, designation and Employee ID

UTI MF Toll Free No. 1800221230 never works. I have been never been able to get through to them through this no.

I have always had to make calls to them through their NON TOLL FREE No. 022-26546200 making STD Calls.

It is seen that adequate documentation has been given. UTI MF is rejecting the redemption request citing varying conditions which are FALSE. The application cannot be having my signature as the investment was done when I was a minor. UTI MF is asking me to get my signature verified by a NATIONALIZED BANK which is sheer harassment.

My mother has also given a redemption request for 2 folios (1) 517188454877 and (2) 517188527404 both of which are for the UTI-RETIREMENT BENEFIT PENSION FUND. The redemption request has been given on the same date i.e. 2nd March, 2010 with the same set of documents. It is seen that the units under the folio no. 517188454877 has been redeemed and the redemption request for folio no. 517188527404 has been rejected under the grounds "required name, staff id no, designation of the employee with official seal who is attesting the request".

Thus it is seen that UTI MF is falsely rejecting the redemption requests and harassing the investors.

UTI MF needs to redeem my units, pay interest for the delay in redemption and also compensate me for harrasment.
