Default complaint regarding inadequate water supply in P North ward

    Dear Sir / Madam,

Subject - Inadequate water supply since January 2009. No suitable action
    taken by the BMC.

We are a 3/4 storeyed building (Malad La Belle Co-operative Housing
Society) with 27 flats in Orlem, Malad. From a supply of 16,000 - 18,000
litres of water (, the supply to us has been reduced to only 13,000 litres
of water. Presently, we get only 9,000 litres of water and this is creating
a lot of problems for our daily basic necessities.

Representatives have approached the Head of Water Department in Malad, Mr.
Thavani and he has taken no suitable action till date.

The BMC has announced a water cut of 30% due to less rains a couple of
months back, however due to only 9,000 litres being supplied, flats in our
building were not getting even 10% water supply. Now even though there are
no water cuts announced, they have not restored the water supply to the
    normal levels.

We hope the consumer court will come to our aid.

    Thanking You,

    Yours sincerely,

    Vinita Ferrao
    A/7, La Belle
