COMPLAINT AGAIST PATHANKOT MUNICIPALITY
I live in Gill Avenue, Sunder Nagar, PTHANKOT (PUNJAB)

1. From the past years occasionally the drinking water which is supplied through the PATHANKOT municipality in our area is UNDRINKABLE !. I have smelled the water my self and it smells like if sewerage has been mixed in it, it gives a very foul smell and and some times is muddy. Earlier the water adulteration used to happen once in a while but in the recent months it occurring on a more frequent biases. I my self have fallen sick many times because of drinking this water, more over it is INTOLERABLE for a HUMAN BEING to DRINK, BATH, WASH CLOTHES AND UTENSILS with water containing SEWERAGE.

2. Another problem which we face very often is water logging during rains, even a few hrs of rain jams the sewerage and we always face the threat of water entering our homes. There is no water drainage system in our street which adds to the problem.

3. I was brought up in pathankot since childhood .. from the past 23 years i have not seen any garbage collecting or disposing bin in our street therefore we have no choice except throwing the garbage on the sides of our houses and burning it occasionally. Every time we enter our street we r welcomed by the seen of garbage on one side ..

With all due respect i am not writing my name bec. i feel this is not just an individual but the voice of the people of our area. I request and hope that our few basic problems will be looked upon.
