Hi -

I bought the house on B'lore (Lingarajpram) in 2006. In 2008, Dec I have requested for the Change of Name of both Current and Water connections and successfuly done.

From Jan 2009, there has been no Water bill issued and suddenly in Sep 2009, there was a bill issued for Rs. 26,000. Where as there were no arrears when the name change request has been made and also submitted the latest paid water bill when changng the name.

Now, when we requested for the statement so taht we can see whetre the arrears are, They are asking us to pay 13,000(50%) and then give an application to wave off the rest.

One thing I wnat to know is , How did the Name chnage happen if there was this huge amount of active arrears? and How would I know if its genuine?
