My name is Asim Khan, residing at r.no 7, ismail karim batliwala chawl,
behind kalina church, santacruz (E), mumbai - 29, i purchased a dekstop
computer (Model Name : HP6610In, Mode No : FK796AA, Serial No :
INA84500JC ) from HP reseller with 3 yrs onsite warranty on 16/01/2005, i
recd the desktop, i connected the computer and tried turn on the computer,
but there was no display on the monitor, i also work in IT field, i work
in Dell Technical Support, and have done eveything but the monitor doesnt
work, so while i was packing the monitor back there was a litle bruise on
the flat panel screen, i contacted HP support (HP Ref : CA0713240), and
they said that the monitor will be first tried with a repair, and then
they repaired the monitor, and was of no use it never started, so i told i
need a replacement, they told they will escalate this to higher
authorities, and today 04/02/2009, they say they wll only cary out repair
beacuse of that small bruise they cannot replace the monitor, they say a
tech will come and he will try to replace some more parts, do u think this
is accrding to the guidelines of a such a reputed company shipping a
faulty part to consumer and then saying that they cannot repair the part
bcecause of that little bruise/scratch, and the monitor was not working
even when the it was not bruised, and a s tech i know that small bruise
will never cause a monitor not to work. i want to file a case against
HP-India. please help me. i would be highly obliged if you help me with
this.
