    Angry Vodafone Safe Custody problems

    I have been a user of Vodafone Postpaid Connection (9986045834) for the past 7 years and I am a user of Hutch for the past 12 years.
    Last year (2011) I was about to travel to US for two months on 21st October 2011 but I was not sure about whether I will return back soon or not. To check this I had called the vodafone customer care on 17th October 2011 and asked about the Safe Custody option for three months thinking of using the same number if I return within 3 months. The customer care executive had told me that its possible to do the safe custody only if I dont have any outstanding left and I had to pay Rs 100 for Safe Custody. So I had paid my outstanding amount(1,100.80) of Rs 1100 (MHDF1007556624-VODAFONE BILLDESK)[I also had an extra amount of Rs 55 for my previous payment of 1800 towards a bill of Rs 1746.29] through net banking and on 20th October I had paid an amount of Rs 100(MHDF1008632310-VODAFONE BILLDESK) towards the Safe custody of my number for 3 months. I got a acknowledgement from vodafone executive, Praveena.After that I left India and now they vodafone is sending legal notice of me being a defaulter of not paying an amount of (Rs 2727.38) I dont know how they have come up with this amount as I dont have any outstanding amount left when I leave India and they are happy to do the safe custody for me.Since I had already cleared my outstanding bill +tariff, I thought the payment was not realized and they would keep my phone is safe custody once the payment is realized.
    But unfortunately that did not happen and I got my bill for those three months for absolute no usage. In fact during that period my sim was not inside the phone also. On January 31st 2012 I got a Legal Notice from Mr. Yogish Srinivasa Murthy for not paying the bill.
    I have all the proof for my payments and the mails I got from vodafone regarding this.
    Since I am still in US i could not track this issue very smoothly, So please help me in this regard.
