I am Murali from Hyderabad and I had purchased the RELIANCE GSM prepaid sim for my Mom in December 2011 and since then we have been experiencing tipical problem with this service.
Some how the balance will gets deducted (without our concern) and if we call the customer care they say that some or other Value Added Service has been activated (though we never requested to activate any service) and we have to request them for deactivation and they will deactivate the service but never refund the deducted amount. This has became regular problem (at least twice a week). Once as per my friends suggestion I called the customer care and had them activate Do Not Disturb (DND) service, after that this problem subsided for couple of weeks but again started.

Some or other popup will come on the phone screen and even if you click on OK or Cancel the amount from account will be deducted. This problem is never ending - when you call the customer care @ 198 they will say that you will not receive such messages/popups from now onwards but that never happens. The deductions vary between Rs: 10 & 30 for every instance. For eg: if we recharge the account with Rs:100/- that will be completed maximum within 7 to 10 days (for sure) even if we are not using the phone.

Not sure how to get rid of this problem, and I thought of unsubscribing to this account because I never had such problem with any other services.

Important: When I tried to complain about this service, I found that I am not only one who is experiencing this problem there are hunders of victims who complained about the same on web.
