    Angry IDEA activated service without prior consent

    hi,

    i'm writing this on behalf of my aunt. on saturday(21/1/2012) around 8:27 pm, they've activated an unwanted Voice chat service without any consent and deducted around 15 rupees. prior to the deduction my aunt had 22 rupees in her credit. after deduction it came to 4 rupees. last night around 9:15 pm, she spoke with a customer care executive(dinesh) and she was needlessly subjected to mental agony by him, who was refusing to refund the deducted money and suggested that she should talk with his superior, when she wanted to, he asked her to call after 1 hour as they weren't there. in the call he kept insisting that she herself activated the service, which she is refusing and insists that around the time it was activated there was no signal in her cell. in the call he assured her the moment the call with him ended she's is going to receive sms confirming the deactivation of the service. she didn't receive any sms confirming the deactivation, so she again called the customer care, this time a woman received the call, my aunt asked her if she could connect to the previous customer care executive, the call got disconnected but aunt heard her saying something like it is impossible(idea's bad signal). she tried calling the customer care, but she ran into "all are busy" response. after an 1 hour she received 3 sms regarding this issue, contrary to what the customer care executive said, these smses actually confirmed the activation and gave directions to take advantage of the service. today, sunday (22/1/2012), she called around 4:00 pm to speak with the superior about the refund, this time also she was subjected to stupid stubbornness by the customer executive who flatly refused to refund and said the service was deactivated. the call got disconnected in middle. she spoke with some one else, which also got disconnected. on sunday, around 10:19 pm, she again received an sms informing that voice chat service has been activated(again). my aunt is very agonized with this and expects all value added services(including voice chat) to be deactivated and not activated again. she also expects the deducted amount to be refunded in additon to compensation. even after repeatedly calling the number to deactivate the service in question and following the directions given in the call, till now she has not received any sms confirming that the service is deactivated. my aunt feels customer care executives are sadistic who enjoy tormenting and frustrating innocent customers, when customers raise their voice against malpractices and assert their rights, they enjoy shoving the customers pride. please resolve this quickly. i don't want to share the idea mobile number in public, if anyone from idea pms me offering help, i'll be happy to share with them if they convince me that they are from idea cellular and assure me that they'll resolve this problem.

    Idea cellular has found a new way of making money by activating VAS services without consumer consent. Please write to Nodal officer of the Idea Cellular in your circle ( list available on TRAI website and Idea Cellular website ) and if not resolved file a written complaint in local consumer court.

    I have face similar issue and got it resolved after followup make sure you get a complaint number from customer services ( They are suppose to provide one as per TRAI license terms )
